Paul Abad is a dj, producer, promoter, visual artist and community activator based in south east Queensland. He has been part of the local music scene since 1998 and is now a regular on the east coast circuit. The width of his experience sees him play everything from outdoor festivals to experimental/sound art gigs to warehouse breaks/glitch nights and everything in between!

After years of exploring a variety of electronic genres, Paul has now positioned himself as one of the leading exponents of minimal/progressive techno and hi-fi breaks in the outdoor festival scene in Australia. His obsession with futuristic Sonics and dedicated outdoor sensibilities still shine through in how he works with these genres, in track selection and overall feel, and he has a unique ability to tailor sets to a specific time and place. Tool of choice these days is laptop with Ableton live and a 32 knob controller, ensuring a seamless and creative approach to mixing. Flow, groove, space and progression are key themes in Paul’s sets, but of primary importance is the mix - recombining and layering, and responding to an audience

He has played alongside acts such as Future Sound of London/Amorphous Androgynous, Tipper, Dj Krush, Monolake, Richard Devine, Adam Beyer, Jeremy P Caulfield, Phoenecia, Bernd Friedman, Antix, Perfect Stranger, Tegma, Phoney Orphants, Luna Spice, Bufo, Krumeler, Kazu Kimura, Thomas Brinkman, Aes Dana, Talpa, Haltya, Artax, Sun Control Species, Sensient,
Spoonbill, MZO etc.

Paul has a variety of sets available for download via the link below, check them out! they are off the hook!

MATT ROWAN [SYD] [Proton/Baroque/Babylon/Red Seven]

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Matt Rowan’s DJ career spans two decades of house music and continues to grow and evolve today. Having commenced his first residency back in 1998, Matt has gone on to become a regular at many a Sydney nightclub and event.

A style that’s been described as “Bass-driven House Music”, Matt’s sets incorporate a strong rhythmic and techy feel whilst remaining light hearted and funky: A combination which gets any dance floor moving! This dance floor oriented approach to set structure and programming, combined with deft skills, has seen Matt hold residencies at Sounds on Sunday, Habit, Robotique and Sydney’s premier progressive night SweetChilli. With dates both at home and abroad, 2006 saw Matt make his WMC debut with numerous guest appearances alongside some of the industry’s finest, whilst 2008 promises to be a big year with further dates in Europe and South America.

Making his production debut in 2005, Matt soon went on to compile a solid catalogue of tnes and remixes on a vasriety of labels – Only, Rapid Response, Proton, Babylon to name a few – whilst his tune “Keep Sake” appears on Steve Porter’s “PorterHouse” compilation and with a further four tunes licensed to Porter’s “PorterHouse 2” recording in 2007. In demand on the remix front, expect to see more releases very soon.

Alongside production buddy Jaytech, Matt’s release “Tomorrow/Blaze” was described by Nick Warren as “…the tune of 2005” and was championed by Warren as well as Hernan Cattaneo around the globe. Signed to Hope recordings, “Tomorrow” features on Dave Seaman’s Renaissance compilation “Master Series 3”. 2006 saw more original productions from the duo and remixes for V-Sag, Starecase, AFK, CPM, Narek and Danny Bullo, Medway and Sven Hauck whilst 2007 saw further productions original and co-productions on labels Rapid Response, Babylon Limited, Amenta and Red Seven.

Matt’s tunes receive regular support from a wide variety of international heavy hitters such as Seaman, Cattaneo, Masiello, Fair, Sasha, Zabiella and Porter
