![]() STOCK Artist Promotions & Imperial Exposure pres: BEN KLOCK 5 hour set [BPitch Control, Memo, Ostgut-Ton] With support from – Lance Harrison (Pinksilver) Lorenzo (Imperial) Mike Hills (Stock) Paul Agius (Pinksilver) Jiarn Ruscito Michelle Valenti Friday November 9th 2007 MOTEL ROOFTOP TERRACE – 172 YORK ST, STH MELBOURNE, 3205 After a period of rest from the highly acclaimed Franco Bianco and Someone Else tours, STOCK artist promotions in collaboration with Imperial Exposure, are proud to announce theAustralian tour of one of the hottest names in techno today; Ben Klock. Hailing from Berlin, the techno capital of the world, Ben has had huge success with releases on BPitch Control, their sister label Memo and his own imprint; Klockworks. As well as Ostgut Ton, the in house label of arguably the most infamous club today, Berghain, where Ben is the resident DJ. Like the old saying goes; location, location, location… With that in mind, the venue we have chosen for the Melbourne party is set to be a foray into another world, reminiscent of a wild summer in Ibiza, The Terrace at Motel will play host for the night. With an extensive dance floor, two bars - one outside, one in - a special side room with massage chairs and lush décor to boot, it would seem illogical not to have Klock play there. The addition of a Funktion One sound rig will ensure the music is crisp, clear and loud from all areas of the club so not one ear in the place will miss a beat. It is not only your ears that will be catered for; visuals for the night will be supplied by renowned VJ Micology, who has showcased his work at some of the most reputable festivals around the country with SummaDayze and Big Day Out to name a few. Like that wasn’t enough, Micology will be accompanied by young up and comer; VJ Netzair – a hot young RMIT student who is making waves in the realm of visual entertainment. He is going to be huge, mark our words. We’re delighted to have both join forces for this event. Over the two rooms, the support for the night will feature the talents of Melbourne’s techno and house community, showcasing a varied array of sounds that will beautifully complement the musical flow of the night. Lance Harrison of Pinksilver will provide support in the main room as will Lorenzo of Imperial Exposure, both of whom play a captivating sound with their own interpretation of modern techno. The side room should not be underestimated with a handful of up and comers, each showcasing their personal sound. Now here’s the best part; staying fair to his sound-scape and programming of sets, Ben Klock will be playing a five hour show! Strongly affected by the boom Berlin’s club culture underwent after the collapsing of the wall, a Klock set will take you on a musical journey from the most cutting edge of techno to the most stripped back of minimal, all with a strong focus on the deeper side of production. Whether it is a brand new record or a classic from a decade gone, Klock will mix it with conviction and have the dance floor rocking. “…Even a party atmosphere where hands are up in the air should include a certain class and a deeper undertone…” – Ben Klock. $25 Tickets From: DMC Records, Prahran Central Station Records, City [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |
