Resident DJ Tryouts!! Lancaster, CA (Jan. 28th)

Hey Rave-Linkers,

I'm Eric. I along with my friend Jake own Radical Mindz. We just locked in a small venue to throw weekly/bi-weekly/monthly DnB shows. We will decide how often depending on crowds. We have great sound, good DJ's, and the venue should hold about 100+. Its going to be a small close-knit crew. Hopefully the Dancefloor will always be rockin'! On to the point. We need more DJ's. We need DANCE FLOOR DESTROYIN DJ's. We are looking to offer residencies (rotating/non-rotating) to GOOD DJ's. We are also looking for MC's! So if you spin DnB or can MC like no other and would be willing to commute to make a little spending cash or would just like to spin/spit for fun and to get your name out then pay attention. We have a few guidelines to follow, they are as follows:

1. We need experienced DJ's, sorry don't want new guys! If you are still trainwrecking every track please just keep practicing.

2. Newer records! Please keep up. If you spin only old records, and can destroy it, then you will be labeled as Old Skool! We will use you just not as much. Sorry, no Ragga. I love it, but unfortunately it doesn't rock dancefloors. Still come and hang out, I can get you in touch with people that could use your talent. We will also mix it up sometimes for the desert parties.

3. RELIABILITY!!! If you don't have reliable transportation, sorry. If you are always late, sorry again.

4. You HAVE to love the scene. Don't be all about the money! Be about the music and the people.

5. Be prepared to be invited to lots of parties we throw and if it works good be invited to Spin at the LARGER desert parties for MUCH more money!!!

6. Be polite, be responsible, and bring friends!

7. Did I mention reliable? Can't stress this enough!

8. Have your own needles, records, and any other equipment. (Not mandatory)

9. (MC) Have a good vocabulary, Freestlye skills even better.

So there you go, nothing too hardcore, but we don't want terrible talent (oxymoron? ). I understand that people gotta start somewhere, and we will work with people that are close to LIVE AUDIENCE skills. I encourage anyone and everyone to come out and help me decide who to keep. Its all gonna be the crowds decision, after all the parties are for you!!!

If you are interested, just give me a call, and let me know who you are! Also, please send an email with some background information to include age, location, favorite DJ's, what you spin, favorite style, (you get the idea), and it would help if you respond to the applicable guidelines. Any mixtapes, Demo CD's, or websites would also be useful! We can only fit so many people in, and this would be just a tool to help us decide in case of a overwhelming response. We are a REAL company licensed and fully legal. There will be potential for pay (These are not paid auditions). We dont fuck around like some people. We treat our people good. We look forward to spanning the Antelope Valley into the Drum N Bass Scene.

On a side note: We will be looking for House/Trance/Hardcore DJ's in the future, but this will be for Desert Parties. If you want, send in anything you'd like me to know also. The desert parties will be better paid events! We aren't as picky since unfortunately, its not as technical. (Don't Hate!!) If I am wrong please inform me, I will admit I'm not as knowledgable in that area as I should be and am very open to constructive criticism/help!

Well i'm ALL the way down in SD, originally from seattle, spinnin hardstyle. I'd love to be involved in the occassional desert party... but Lancaster is to far to go on a real regular basis.

lemme know... cuz we used to do like 3 day long forest parties in washington
