yellow lasers Re: Raves In Hawaii??? OK. I will make it happen...check it....

Ok Ravers of Hawaii~

Hi, Im J.Wail......Ok, so are you really ready to throw down for a party? Im going to make this happen for you. This is why. This past Summer I went to Alaska and a bunch of ravers asked me to do an all ages show. They had seen me play at a festival. With one week left along my Alaska tour I found a place called CLub Millenium that had the room open. I got some local DJs to play too and I played for over 300 people that night at the Millenium. Thats a lot for Alaska! The ravers danced, glowed and shined. What I do is different from the DJ at a rave. Its all live. Live instruments(guitar, bass, keys), live sythesizers, live electronics, live vocals. Anyway, what a fun night that was in Anchorage and I will be going back there soon for some more blissful times.

So what does this have to do with Hawaii? Well, Since the Ravers of Alaska were all so ready to rage it, I figure so are the Hawaii ravers. right? So here's whats up. Im doing a Hawaii Tour starting NYE in Honolulu. I will be touring all over the islands from Dec 30-til almost the end of January. If anyone knows any all age venues, I can put the party together. All I need from you is your ideas on venues---and DJS that you want to play. So drop a line to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and let me know where and who...and we shall make it happen. Meanwhile check out my music at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You can write your venue suggestions thru myspace as well.

Question Re: Raves In Hawaii???

So, I'm curious...how is the scene in Hawaii? How many people are there usually at raves?

There's a possibility I might be moving there, but I have the choice...and I just can't live without good raves!

The scene here in Hawaii has been having its ups and downs. As mentioned earlier, most of the electronica based events are held at clubs. Once a year they have what we would consider here a massive, called The Love Festival. Once in a blue moon some peeps throw renegade parties on Hilo.

big island has a decent rave scene? really? I go there occasionally to visit family, and I thought that people there werent into the rave scene. All I recall is that a while back big island finally got a hot topic. But HT only supplies Tripp and none of the good brands anymore. Most of the people I seen looked like emo kids posing as goths. I guess the real ravers are too incognito for me to notice.

rave scene on oahu isnt too great, but the ravers are around. know a few guys that hang around UH Manoa. You can find a few of them hanging around ala moana too. Lot of the incognito ravers actually do hang out/work at ala moana. I hang around ala moana a lot. I work in the food court. And since theres no dress code for my workplace, im usually in [black] illigs, macgears, jnco's, and tripps (when it was good quality stuff, not like now)...

There is a new place opening up on April 5, 2008 called The Shop. Sounds like they have a good DJ line up. If anyone wants more info feel free to contact me on AIM: KailuaKane22

The shop though a small venue, had probably the best vibe Ive felt in years. Felt like an old school party at Atomiks! Hope you enjoyed my set!
