Everyone can use more Rave. So you guys should put on your own. I'd help but I live by Seattle.

Rent out a venue, get some dj's and equipment and throw a party.

I know I say it as if it's easy but you'd be suprised how much things you can get for free if you talk to people. Myself I'm having a large Lan party (not a rave but still an all night party requiring thousands of dollars in equipment) and we are getting all out equipment for free, because we talked to people.

As i see if you can probably find some dj's wanting to spin, not headliners but still dj's, for free just for the chance to perform for people. As far as a venue goes, everyone likes money. Look for buildings with for lease signs, you can probably set up something with them for one night of use, after all everyone likes money, for that matter if you know someone who owns property ask them (that way it could be free). As far as equipment, I don't have as many suggestions, ask around, check rental places, theres bound to be what you need somewhere.

Then since hopefully most things will be donated just charge a little to get back what things may have cost you and there you go.

I can't say I know exactly what I'm talking about (never thrown a rave) but if you have a problem rather then complain take action. If you fail well at least you tride and in my opinion have earned the right to complain all you want haha.

Damn...I've been thinking about moving to Portland.
But I've heard nothing but bad about its scene.

I'de hate to leave Phoenix with its scene growing and growing and continuouslly growing to one with little existance at all.

Although...who knows. I'm considering moving more for my son to grow up in a better enviourment with less crime.
And Portland has more then half the crime that phoenix does.

You guys should get involved and make the scene better then it is...at least help promote. Find local talent. Find non local talent to come in and help with your events.
Network it ya know.

There are plenty of great djs out here that would jump at the chance to spin in another state. For penuts as long as their travel expences and hotel were paid for.

I just wish I knew about even the summer raves around here. Doesn't seem like word travels fast enough...
