![]() Please join us for a night of FRESH HOT BRAINDANCE with these amazing folks plus your favorite BONKERS! technicians The Naturebot, Rave On It, and Erictronic. DJ RECESS - [Shameless, Broken Disco - Seattle] Raised on the industrial, new wave, and pop music of the time, in the late 80's Recess quickly found his second home at the now defunct Club Underground in Seattle. Using this early experience as a platform, he started collecting records and honing his skills at various clubs around the Northwest, quickly establishing himself as a formidable performer. Recess continues to turn heads with his unique take on dance music, and is the main force behind local collective Shameless, who are responsible for the Official Decibel Festival afterparties plus numerous other local events, including Modeselektor, DJ Assault, Egyptian Lover, Bootylib, Broken Disco, & Electric Avenue. He has played alongside heavy hitters such as Felix Da Housecat, Damian Lazarus, DJ Assault, Ewan Pearson, Adult, Smash TV, Surkin, Para One, Modeselektor, and Drop the Lime. You can easily catch Recess playing electro/discopunk at one club, baile funk/bmore club/ghetto tech at another, or techno/house, all depending upon the crowd and party. His versatility has led to being recently nominated for the Seattle Weekly's Best Local DJ contest, and his sets are not to be missed. KINOKO - Kinoko, :Empress of Electronica (a.k.a. Kristine Evans) is a Seattle based visual artist and laptop musician. Curating art and music events, she brings arts and music communities together. As a laptop production artist, Kinoko saves the day with glitchy, 8-bit, scatter-brained blipcore known as Smiletronics. By taking the sugary, 8-bit sweet stuff, she whips up a fluffy sound with glitched out, electro/emo goodness. Kinoko's yummy tracks are full of crispy clouds, gleaming stars, and low resolution rainbows that make bunnies hop up and say "ahhh, this music is so good, it tastes just like cereal." Kinoko has performed in North America and Japan. She has competed in Fourthcity Laptop battles, raced against the White Deer and is currently obsessed with Hungry, Hungry Hippos. Kinoko is also a monthly resident at Seattle's hipster dance party night "Ruff Gemz" at the Baltic Room. She plays every second Wednesday of the month alongside DJ Fucking in the Streets and DJ Sam Russo. But, this budding Empress of Electronica doesn't like to forget her roots, and of course loves laying down the glitch party breaktasticas for the all night rave style parties taking Happy Hardcore and mashing it into a new love deconstructed and rewired to a new bleep. This Philadelphia native loves music, loves dancing and loves making the party happy. Her eclectic talents don't stop. She is also a cycling enthusiast and a fine arts trained illustrator. She creates a quarterly mini-comic titled "Zine City Comix" an army of plush Robots and free-lances graphic design and illustration. Currently she is collaborating with Olympia based chip-tune musician McFiredrill in a multi-media side project called Rainbow Paws. With lots of circuit bent mayhem and even animations in the works, RP project is only part of many adventures to be had. Hope you have A Stimulating and Relaxed Day.' RAVE ON IT - Rave On It is a one man rave bass technician. His vision includes heavy doses of PURE ENERGY, 5ths, 7ths, 10ths, and BREAKS!!! BPMs above and beyond 160. Bringing the NEW ENERGY FOR THE NEW RAVE REVOLUTION!!! ERICTRONIC Eric Stethoscope throws down more herky jerky technological feats of genius. Like Sisiphus with a midi controller, no one knows when it will end. Lucky for us, it also tickles the brain and exponentially increases pleasurefold. Fantasmic! myspace.com/deliciousidiot THE NATUREBOT - The Naturebot will be performing programmatic feel-good songs about beautiful skies and tiny twigs with big outdated beats. We'll be sure to lower the roof. Featuring the newly-patented Uni-directional Bronto-tone Mouthsynth as recently perfected by my new throat/computer tools. Also- quite a bit of new material.
