How close of a community are the ravers in your region?
Do you guys always run into some of the same people? are there huge meet-ups? Or do you even hang out with ravers you meet at events later on throughout the week? Just curious if for you guys it is just a weekend party or a larger community brought together BY the weekend parties...and friendships furthered afterwards. Let me know! ![]() |

Things may have changed since I was last enjoying the "scene" in NM... that was 4 years ago (been in europe). I am from southern NM and for the groups down there, it was crazy. If you met people at raves that you didn't already know (thats rare!) you didn't usually meet up with them again.... not much talking goes on at the raves I attended. You dance til the sun came up and waited for whatever you were on to wear off. I went with a few DJs often to El Paso and around S NM, and it's always more fun like that. It used to be that we all held PLUR firmly in place - not actively because we shouted it from the roof tops, but because we held a mutual respect for other people who were there to enjoy the music and zombie out for a while. Now I hear about people bitchin at the DJs and getting rude... which sucks. This might be very different for the ALB area though - I didn't go up there much at all. I was lucky - a few times Rev Mitton came down to where I lived. Have fun and good luck.
