The ancient festival of Beltaine marked the transition from winter to summer, from darkness to light. This sacred night was a time of magic and celebration, where the veil between the physical and the spirit world was at its thinnest. This year, we pay special recognition to Cybele, a manifestation of Earth Mother worshiped since Neolithic times by drinking, drumming, and dancing until dawn.

Today, we have traded bonfires for blacklights and tribal drums for drum machines, creating new rituals to show our appreciation for the cycles of nature. Put on your craziest costume, come join us for a modern Beltaine celebration, and dance your way into summer.

Initialization String started in 1997 when Aaron Anthony and Josh Meredith got together to make electronic music in Ft Worth Texas. Mike Hale of Gift Culture came on board shortly thereafter to add his flavorful drumming skills. Ever since, they are known for attacking audiences across the states with their energetic and psychedelic full on sound. They have released 3 albums on Subtle Distortion Records as well as numerous releases on other labels and projects. Currently, they are in the studio working on their fourth album. Be prepared as this trio will bombard your senses and shake your asses with a 2 hour set of their signature sound.

Mist is a seasoned veteran of the Texas psytrance scene, DJing since 1997 when he helped co-found the seminal Texas trance outfit Mistical Productions. Over the following years, his skillfully mixed high energy sets have left dancefloors quaking across the North American continent. In late 2004, Mist joined forces with Acidance Records from Athens, Greece, for whom he has compiled 2 successful releases -Dirty South and A Violent Reaction. He also produces under the monkier "justincaseboy" with licensed material ready to be released later this year.

- Take I-35 to downtown Austin
- Exit Caesar Chavez and turn east at the light (away from downtown)
- Keep going past Pleasant Valley
- Turn left on Tillery (it's hard to see, so be on the lookout)
- The venue will be seven blocks up on your right
- Parking is around back
- Drive safe and please keep your windows up and stereo down, as the venue is in a residential area.
