Still look'n for the right vibe

Im new to houston and look'n for a real party. It was suggested that I go to insight @ the engine room. I went. Dara didn't show up but the music was still GREAT. Even though the music was awesome this was not "the real deal". Where r the kandi kids? Where is the e? Were r the cuddle puddles? A bar that books some good DJs and has 1 room and a few hundred people is not a rave. Is the houston rave scene really dead? Do I need to visit Seattle or San Fran for a real party? I need a warehouse with 3+ rooms and a few THOUSAND people, NO BEER and lots of new friends to dance with and hug. I want that special vibe I get only when I roll with lots of people. Do I need to start my own production CO? Anyone got a big venue where we can do houston right? Houston, im disappointed!!

just wait this weekend and the next 3 are warehouse raves 3 stages they just not allways going to be at the warehouse sometimes they host it at clubs so we dont get raided again like in the old days afew years ago they raided alot now they calmed down next one the 420 rave at a wharehoues then next week at the silo another wharehouse and after that it back to same spot the 420 at then i think were going back to silo again the next week after that not been posted. and there giving away a free show to who went to insight last night at a time not quite set since he did not show up aslong as u signed that paper if not there a email i have somewhere u can send to get on that list.

ya i've been to a couple raves in Houston and Galveston but there's really nothing big like your talkin' about . but what we need is BIG . we need X and tons of ppl ,multiple rooms shit like that !!! I was actually gonna start my own prduction comp. but i don't have the cash yet.l

Houston scene, like it or leave it! We lack the massive raves that you are talking about, but we make up for it in quality! SDC throws some AMAZING shows, and it's all built on passion! They do so much more than just throw parties! Go to the next show, and you will understand what i mean. Check out houstonbeats.com for a good list of what's going on.

The max people we might get at these shows is maybe 1000, but quality people, with some great music! it's not commercialized like Cali, and it's run by a bunch of people with huge hearts. On top of that, we don't have bad publicity, and thus haven't had any raids in years.

If you're looking for something larger, move back to where ever you lived before. Dallas has some decent raves, but i don't really care for the scene up there. The kids are ok, but the scene seems to be run by greed, and dictated by law enforcement.

the only party that matches your description is Candy Mountain on april 5th..but that was a while back and it get busted..it was still bad ass though..but no, you wont find any real good massives here. but me and a friend are trying to put a production crew togethor. we wanna bring back the old-school plur vibes..start small and get bigger..if you wanna talk about how to get involved or just wanna meet another raver, contact me via myspace:
