Well, I am the new person... I'll be honest I've always been interested in going to raves but can't seem to find ANY in my area or basically anywhere. I'm home schooled so that probably has something to do with it right? Well, I'm not sure if people hate n00bs as much as some places online I know of... but I really hope this doesn't bug anyone. I'm just curious as to what happens at raves n' stuff like that and how to find them. ![]() |

oh God. Afterlife? thats the best you can give this lost little n00bish sheep?
tsk tsk. listen N00b. raves are few and far between. there is only this thing called afterlife that is more like a resemblance or a relic of what raves used to be. kind of like the bloated maggotty corpse of rave revived into the walking dead. sometimes their are outdoor psytrances and campout parties, but you must be in the loop to hear of such things. there is this thing called "meltdown" you might have fun at that. i dont know if its really a 'rave' but it will seem like one to you. well anyways welcome to the dallas scene. ![]() |

okay mister, it's like eating. you have a meal in the morning, and then you get hungry RIGHT BEFORE you have to eat dinner. but you don't want to lose your appetite. so you snack. afterlife is like snacking. what else is there to do on a friday night? |

Welcome to the boards man! Glad to see some new faces 'round these parts. Anyway, like Red said most raves are hard to find and usually kept in small circles, but every once in a while you'll find something. Afterlife if alright but if you get annoyed with a bunch of young kids on X then itll get old real quick. Meltdown is coming up on the 27 and you can buy tickets online for around $40. Its a pretty fun event and there are usually hundreds of people. Other than that go here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] this place is a great way to stay on top of events happening around Texas. Use it, it is your friend. Hope you post some more so we can get to know you!

You are welcome to come out to a amazing party going on in azle on November, 10th. Some helpful tips while on here.
#1 Red is a tool and you should know that up front. #2 Same as #1. Ok now that we have that covered what are you into like music wise besides what you have listed under favorites? What are some DJs or producers that you are already into? Are you open to listen to music that you may not be use to? Give us a little low down about yourself. |

Well, a lot of the music I listen to is infected mushrooms, mindless self indulgence. BUT if it's Dj's you'd like to know then... I can't really tell you because yes, I listen to some trance, techno. BUT I won't really say I listen to "this so and so Dj" because eh... I don't have their CD's or know a ton of their songs so, I'm a total n00b when it comes to raves, or the music they play. =(
And yes, I am very open to listening to music that I'm not used to. I hope that this answers some of your questions and... what is the whole "Red is a tool" thing? =/ Maybe I'm just reading it wrong lol. |

Well infected mushroom used to be fantastic, but their new stuff with duvdev singing is horrid. Still have a special place in my heart for them as they turned me on to psytrance. If you dig their stuff and want to delve deeper into psytrance I can give you a lot of DJ's to check out, as I am a psyhead through and through. Im sure Red can give you a lot more as well.

Hahaha well, being a fan of them I honestly agree with you so I stick to the old stuff. But sure if you have Dj's that you think I'd like (basically any I'm not picky) then sure tell me and I'll write em' down or something lol. Ummm... there's that "Red" again... I think it's time to use Google xD.

Ha mmm... thanks. My mom's a writer so I better know how to type xD. But anyways, just so ya know I am a girl if you didn't know and... mmm... I live in Arlington, a few minutes away from Six Flags. just cause your mother is a writer doesn't make you super proficient in the art of writing. my mother was a heroin addict, that doesn't make me one too. if you knew about the english language, you would know that him and he are the appropriate titles when speaking of someone one dosen't know the gender of, or when speaking about humankind in general. i don't mean to be a bitch, but I'm the grammar nazi here, not you. The way i type, while not always punctuationally correct, is standard english. it doesn't matter whether you are a girl or a guy. "He" is one hundred percent correct. go ask any english teacher. anyways, what they mean by red, is RedRythmicPsyrpent. he is everyone's favorite jaded psyhead. he is anti kandi-kid, anti hardcore, and anti plur. (jk, red. ily!!!) he appears to be rude most of the time, but we all know he's just a big fluffy plurtard on the inside. haha. as for music, please tell me you're not into things like cascada, and milky and whatever. no honey, that's dance pop. "techno" is generally crap. what you want is trance, psytrance, hardcore, gabbercore, happy hardcore (my favorite!!), hard house, drum n bass. maybe electro will grow on you. guys, we should start a list of things that she needs to look up on limewire. oh, and btw, the most important thing about raving isn't the rave itself, not the drugs, not the dressing up, not even the plur. it's the MUSIC. anyone who's like "oh mah gawd, i lurve that thump thump thump techno muzik" is generally a nincompoop. i'm not saying one has to be a total fanatic about names, dates and track names, but come on, thats like saying you're an artist, and when one asks what kind of art you produce, you say, oh, art. what kind of art is it? is it performing art? is it visual art? is it written art? come on kids, get with it. can i start with happy hardcore? since you like dance pop music, you'll like happy hardcore. try downloading some Hixxy (but be careful of what you find though, most os what you find isn't actually hixxy, he just mixed it together with a bunch of other stuff on a cd.) Milo, No Left Turn, Dougal and Gammer (more hardcore, less happy, but worth it.) check out the Bonkers series, that's a ton of happy hardcore. ![]() |
