Jesus, i wrote a letter to the councilman about it. i don't want AL shut down, despite everyone rolling their eyes and hating it, it's a nice enough venue. different rooms, and lots of places to sit, as well as a nice outside area. i do like the place and would hate to see it closed.

LOL you wrote the councilman. molly calm down, its not that serious, really. this has happened before, and the fact remains Afterlife is a Legit venue with permits and everything. that councilman really can't do shit about it, except for talk like that to make people think hes going to do something about it. if you aren't going to afterlife to buy/take/sell drugs, you have NOTHING to worry about, they can't do a god damn thing just because its a club that people choose to use drugs at. you can pick up X at just about every nightclub and cabaret, i don't see why they specifically targeted AL again, you could see the same shit at lizard lounge, eden, or insomnia. its not getting shut down. drug dealers and maybe some underage kids are going to get busted but other than that, i don't see any major changes to AL.

that shit was dope. a bigass warehouse(like you've always imagined) had a lounge, several rooms, a hottub (needs some work). the place has a long way to go as far as deco, and could use a little touching up but its the bombest warehouse ive ever partied in.

okay here's the deal. i put massive up there just to piss a certian particular few people off. any numskull can figure out that what makes a massive ISN'T calling it one. fact is, the party's going to be dope - regardless how many peopel show up. i'm sure everyone can think of a badass party that had 200 or less people. in fact, there's a good chance that that party is one of the best they can think of. simple fact (thx molly): dont comae if you dont want to. BUT, it'd be a shame if u had to hear how rockin' it was from your friends the next day. =)


dallas needs change, and we're doing our best to contribute positively to it's future. this is not something i, u, or any small group of people can do alone.. but i'm sure each and every one of you knows exactly what i'm talking about. we all need to get over our petty differences and bring back the unity that dfw once had, if not better than before. u cant have peace, love, or even unity without RESPECT, and with this diverse line-up we hope to provide an atmosphere for it. an atmosphere for change and understanding. and atmosphere for building strength and unity between the many missunderstood and underheard genres in the south. an atmosphere that will open the eyes of many to a world yet to come.


sure, it's at afterlife.. but the fact is, even tho they were on the news, it's STILL the safest and largest venue in teh area. but who CARES where it is?? honestly, do you really think that where an event is held makes anywhere near as much difference as any of the other aspects of the party?? planning and promotions, decorations, sound, lighting, visuals, TALENT, etc.? oh, i can't forget the most important thing: THE RAVERS. this is NOT an afterlife party. this is a PURPLE MONKEY event.

and as far as "purple monkey" goes, some people might not have heard of us, some have. i guarantee you that if you have, you know the intense motivation that we share, and the passion for the scene that we have. we want anyone and everyone to be a part of it. this is NOT a hardcore party, nor a hardstyle or dubstep party. True, i may LOVE the hell out of hhc but i promise you there is something that you love just as much as i love my hardcore and i respect that. not only that, but i think that it should be given a chance just as much as hardcore. that's why we're doing what we do. we want to unite, not segregate. i'm so sick of hearing people bitch about the "shitty" things that OTHER people like. i wish everyone would spend that time focusing more on what THEY like, and respecting others' differences.. i wish that everyone can get together like they did before, and unite for a greater cause. everyone wants this, but the simple fact is it isn't going to happen overnight. and more than anything, it isn't going to happen just because a few people get together one night out of the year and party their asses off. what it takes is motivation, and we plan to spark it. motivation can take you anywhere. motivation can make ANYTHING happen.
