Greetins. I'm not new to the dfw area, it's just I've recently discovered this beautiful site and am hoping to finally meet others of like minds when it comes the this lifestyle of a musical scene. I've been abroad for the last few months and will be returning to Arlington (my home sweet home) soon. As far as my musical tastes, I love hardcore (mostly of the happy variety), trance, house, hard house, DnB....generally any kind of electronica. But this post is just to intro...and to say help. Where do I go to meet people who spread the plur message? Where are the people who live the music and aren't in the scene just for the drugs and sex?

Greetings! Ill give you a link that I usually dump on all the new kids who come here searching for parties and such. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] It has a listing of a lot of upcoming gigs all around Texas. Use it as it is your friend. It also has a section with DJ downloads, and I suggest you check out that too. Of course I say this because I have 2 mixes that are hosted there, but its psytrance so I dont know if youre into that.
The people here are pretty chill. Except Molly will eat your head off if you sTaRt TyPiNg LiKe ThIs, or if you cant spell worth a flip. Hope you stay around and post more so we can get to know ya a little! |

First thing, plur is dead...it was a novel thought but around here...well what people say and do are two different things. *shrug* Just happens.
Secondly, thanks for pointing over to my site Tho I haven't been updating events for Dallas in awhile. Just too many to keep track of and no ones helping Lil daunting. But when things are updated, its def the place to look for things going on.since you're a dallas native, I'd suggest spending more time on DallasDanceMusic.com RL is pretty dead as far as the messageboards go... teknosounds.com (austin, SA, all over TX) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (pretty much the same as above) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (dallas scene) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (houston scene) and a few others scattered here and there. |

what Molly said...
well Plur isn't dead per say, you're right there'll always be some people that live and breathe it (I'm pretty sure Beezy does, if any of ya'll know her, heh) but for the most part we've all been disillusioned with it after its been reduced to the e-puddles and such. |

Welcome noob.
Yes PLUR IS dead, and I plan to keep it that way. Why is it when someone says they're into hardcore, what they REALLY mean to say is happycore!? I have a house in Arlington, so maybe we can hang out sometime if I'm in town. I may be at Meltdown so you should go to that. Also November 10th there's a hardcore party goin down in Azle, TX featuring this nigga and Arcy. (plus other fuckers!) |

Eh I never really got the whole plur thing. My love, kindness and respect have nothing to do with any "scene". Its just my way of living. Ive heard a bunch of kids get all excited and self righteous when they speak of PLUR like its some kind of new thing. Its not. All its about is being at peace with yourself and those around you, and thats been around since before recorded history.
Sorry for the rant, just something that's been bothering me. Anyway I do hope you make it out to Meltdown, it looks like its going to be positively insane! |
