yea, its a 3 hour drive for me, but im willing to make it a road trip!

This coming weekend!

Honestly, I'm trying to get enthusiastic about this event, but last year's was 10% awesome and 90% let down. Last year the final event (ie the one at Pennang that went all night) was amazing. But my major complaint about the festival can pretty much be boiled down to this:
It was primarily a drinking crowd/bar scene vibe. No group unity, but rather weird alcohol induced sexual tension and therefore more like a club scene than a rave scene. No happy, loved up people. (again, with the exception of the last event)

Basically all the problems seemed to spring from this pharmacological variable being out of whack. Put more bluntly, if there's no ecstasy or acid going around this year, it's going to suck again. Alcohol culture kills the vibe.

Brian San Diego, for having posted this event on this forum, I hold you personally responsible for instigating an *actual* rave this year at Signal Fest. Haha, just kidding....but it would be nice.

Hey Mark,

I get what you are saying about the vibe. The only event that is going all night is the Saturday one with D-Nox as the headliner at Vespa. Of course there is going to be afterparties and other things to get into you just have to find the right people around. On Friday night your best bet for a good time would be the Garth show at Mansion or a progressive event next door at Tallulas. All in all it should be a fun weekend but since most events are in bars and have corporate sponsors, you have to take the good with the bad. I hope to see you out there cheers.
