This party looks pretty underground and best of all, a 4 day 3 night outdoor party...with camping and shuttles to hotsprings?? thats a kickass party anywhere in the world.
would love to check out this one for next year.

Yeah, my first rave was in Japan too, way the fuck back in the early 90s (which is why I use this online handle). It was in a tiny little underground club in Roppongi called XY Relax, I'm sure it's been gone for years. Went there a couple of times with buddies from the US Navy base in Yokosuka, who went every single weekend (to dance, not hit on girls - they were serious ravers). They also used to tell me about a place called Club Warp, which supposedly was stellar - maybe Teddy or somebody else here remembers it?

One New Year's eve we hit a place called Razzle Dazzle, also in Roppongi, upstairs from the old Gas Panic. This was back when Gas was just a little dive, not the big complex it is today. If you want to get a taste of what the scene was like back then, check out the first chapter at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. I've been to a lot of raves since then but never any as good as Tokyo. The Japanese kids are just so trippy and the DJs are sick; they keep you moving nonstop all night.

I looked up XY Relax. It regretably was only open for 11 months. Can't find any info about Club Warp, do you think you could ask Teddy for me?
