X-Cabs is back with more teched-out tuneage. ’Sierra’ has the feel of classic X-Cabs tracks like ‘Infectious’ & ‘Cut to Zero’ but suped up for the new millennium. The decidedly funky and energetic groove is washed with sparkling leads, subtle lines and one nasty rasping hook. The Chris Cowie mix features another choice selection of drums, gritty acidlines and chords. And to add even more value to the package is, ‘Terratec,’ a heavy relentless breakbeat featuring stretching leads, crunchy effects and more analog madness to sear that dancefloor.
