we talked, he's checking out buzz tracker, for the naysayers, don't believe the hype, a guy i know produced a track entirely in buzz tracker and that track got on the pvd politics of dancing 2 cd, pretty good for free software 'eh? =)

Make sure you have enough memory in your computer and using a dual core chipset would help a lot...you could use Live or Reason and pretty much get some good stuff done....

i advised him against reason due to it's closed nature
all other packages allow for real expansion with vsti and such i know that you CAN expand reason in a round about way by spending more money on cubase or another rewire host, but imo that's bollocks not trying to diss your suggestion, just letting you know why i suggested against reason i heart ableton live though, good stuff there, wish i had a legal copy, hehe |

i tried out that buzz software and i found that it is much to complecated to use, i downloaded this ejay.com demo deal and its seems pretty cool, the software lets you get somewhat creative on a personal level, but what i really liked was the organasation of it, it alows you to use any wav's that you have on you comp. so i figured if i get another program that would alow me to develop synths and loops (ejay already has over 4000) then you should be able to be as creative as you would like. sorry for spelling ive been up for 22 hours now. i belive its time to llet the ol' body recuperate back to its normal functioning ability. |

oh I agree with you. That is why I don't use Reason... I don't like the way it sounds personally but I think for people just wanting to see if they want to produce it is a great thing. I mean you don't have to spend a ton of money to realize that you may not want to really produce music. If you can't wrap your head around Reason it is going to be harder to wrap your head around a more expensive DAW. |

btw, it will let you use any wav files as well, that's a pretty standard feature of almost all music production software...just an fyi |
