New iPod Mixer...now with Pitch Control

Having owning and using the original iDJ mixer from Numark I am actually really looking forward to this thing. I will buy it for sure...now I just gotta sell my old one

Numark this week will introduce the iDJ2, a new version of the company’s professional iPod mixing console. Unlike the original iDJ, the new iDJ2 features only one iPod dock, but can play two songs simultaneously from a single iPod. The mixer provides real-time scratch, pitch control, looping, and full cueing of music from the docked iPod.

Numark said iDJ2 owners can also use USB devices such as hard drives for music playback via rear panel USB ports. Other features include an LCD screen that offers waveform display and visual track-profiling, line inputs for any audio source, and the ability to record musical performances to a docked iPod or any connected USB drive. The iDJ2 supports MP3, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC (non-DRM) formats. Numark said the iDJ2 will be released in August, but has not yet announced pricing.

about time, the other one was lame man, all they needed to do was add a pitch control, if you can't pitch it up n down that really limits a lot that can be done, kudos to them for finally getting around to adding pitch control...

yeah I used the other one for Ambient Music which doesn't really need any beatmatching...can't wait to try this thing out.

I think these Ipod mixers are good for small things so you don't have to bring your records or CDs around. Other than that, nobody is going to use em @ clubs or underground gigs IMO.

Duuude, that thing is sweet. Before I start out on that tho I'm getting me some Numark's and learning how to spin. Anybody know of where to get a good deal on some TTX1's Brand New from a reputable place?

that thing is pretty nice.. but nothing replaces the raw sound of vinyl..

I think the Allen and heath XONE 3D would be better just connect it to you laptop and you're done.

yeah but you can't really just take it to gigs and replace a mixer...I am thinking of using something for actual gigs.
