![]() SERIOUSLY - bang it hard and make it HARDTYLE BABY!!! Little late on my reply here - but welcome to the states where Hardstyle seems to finally be breaking out... It's taken patience for me to find local Hardstyle DJ's in the ATL, but I found a few. Like one poster said he spins Hardstyle but not a whole lot of bookings for it. Problem still exists with separating out Italian, German Hardstyle like Pavo or Blutonium Boy from what other listeners in Atlanta say is Hardstyle. Its more Hardcore and Happy for us here and the clubs or events are often so underground I hear about it too late to go. I can guarantee I wont mis Zany, Pavo, Donkey Rollers, Blutonium Boys if they come near Atlanta... Or for that if DJ Nympho would work his mojo and bring it to Atlanta I promise I won't miss that either ![]() ![]() |

Hardstyle is slowly becoming one of my favorite types of music to listen to, i just wish that it was as popular here (east coast / NE) as it is overseas. Watch some clips from Qlimax ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]). We need festivals like that around here where people can enjoy the music, atmosphere, people, and not have to worry about a thing.

Hardstyle is huge in Australia at the moment, as a result of the Melbourne Shuffle's recent boom in popularity, although it's commonly 'hardstyle' Shuffling, and mainly practiced by underage Asians that can't actually get into clubs yet that form 'shuffle crews' and duke it out in their school grounds. I like to call this the Asian Legbreaker Epidemic.
For those uneducated, look up Melbourne Shuffle on YouTube, and you'll be swamped with Asian kids stomping ridiculously to commercial Hardstyle. Sorry 'bout that! Aussie shuffle rant! Personally, I don't really like Hardstyle. To me, it's basically melodic Hardcore, minus the extreme distortion and the decent speed. Simplistic. Repetitive. Boring. Too slow. If I want to listen to something slow like that, I'd rather go for Hard Trance, as it has more depth. |
