This is our world now: the world of electronics and sound, the cry of the crossfader and the beauty of the beat. We make use of the noises existing inside our heads and out, communing in each other’s physical and digital presence. With synths doing our screaming and bass anchored to our hearts we ache for more. More than the nine to five and daily commute, more than televised idols and survivors, more than the apathy and despair of the daily headlines and bountiful bureaucracy.

We are not dangerous criminals or troublemaking lunatics. We are human beings collectively finding comfort and community through the tools available to us in this information age. Before police and governments, before bylaws and cities, before recorded time there was dance. From humanity's start to the world's end there will always be dancing. We would part with it with the same ease we would give up eating and breathing. We have been and again will be pressured, assailed, and put through troubling times, but you cannot stop the sound, joy, and dedication to pursue it that exists in us all.

Ours is a global civilization; a cultural and musical milestone for the twenty-first century. We will not have our experiences limited by availability. We will dance,and we will not stop until the last record spins. We will deconstruct the vision of our parents' generation and out of it create spaces for ourselves. We will not close our minds with ideology. We will not dismiss the extraordinary. We will judge by actions, not appearances. We will seek out new experiences and revel in them. We will use technology -- not be used by it. We will break the system. We will Hack the Planet.
