PURE PHUNK 8 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
'Kickin' It OLD SCHOOL!'

Pure Phunk has reached yet another milestone. We've now been throwing quality events in Southern Ontario for 8 years! We wanted to do something special for this event and we thought long and hard as to what we should do to celebrate this momentous occasion. We decided to assemble the Pure Phunk residents and take it back to the old school, back to the roots.

So, we've assembled some of Toronto's veteran breaks as well as one of Toronto's favorite guest DJ's to take you on a journey back to the glory days of the scene... but with a twist!

Back in the day, a DJ was partly defined by the depth of their record crate. These days, anyone can download any tune from any time and play it on their laptops, but the REAL DJ's had those tunes on the original vinyl records. The DJ's for this event were around when those classic songs were NEW, so for this event all the DJ's will be playing the ORIGINAL VINYL ONLY! No CD's, no laptops. Only the original pressings will be allowed.
