Surreal @ The Powerzone, Amsterdam 09/May/2008 Green Island are an electronic dance music event organisation based in Ireland. Their aim is to showcase the best in trance across venues in Europe. The mission is simple.. "for an audience to witness and experience a club concept that will undoubtedly exceed all expectations". The launch of this international brain storm kicks off in a country which is arguably the heart beat off our global dance scene. Green Island are proud to announce & host there first edition in Amsterdam, treating you to a secluded silicon sound of trance showcased by the future heroes and pioneers. This will see the start of a concept which will continue to deliver the freshest talent and newest movements in trance. On Friday the 9th of May 2008 will see up to 3,000 trance lovers attend Surreal. A party dubbed by Dutch dance press as.. "trance party off the year" taking place at a renowned location in the capital of Holland, The Powerzone! Re: Locate 2006 Brought a lot of special things, especially the release of Paul’s debut album ‘Re: Locate – Rogue’. Much anticipated, and positively received, unofficially crowned album of the year, Rogue caused some great buzz around the Re: Locate alias! With collaborations with Jonas Steur, Menno de Jong, MIDOR, Thomas Bronzwaer and vocalists Susanna and Rebekka, it’s truly a diverse trance album. The track “Rogue” even made it into the Mega Top 100 in Holland! 2007 kicked off in style! Countries like UK, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, Tunisia, Germany, Poland, Israel, Canada, Spain, USA and many more are already known with this professional freak entertainer. Ronald van Gelderen is a standout DJ/ producer in every respect. He's signed to the High Contrast label of Be Yourself Music in Holland where he released massive singles and re mixes of late such as the 'Realize', 'This Way' and ‘Dirty Rocker’ anthems. His releases have been caned by the worlds big DJs, like: Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V and many more. Besides. his tracks have been compiled on CDs by e.g. Tiesto (In Search of Sunrise) and Armin van Buuren (A State of Trance). He produced the track Jaguar, based on the old Detroit classic Knights of the Jaguar, and this was released by Spinnin’ Records. This track was played all summer by DJ’s like Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Tom Novy, Tiësto and ‘King of Progressive’ Sasha. This resulted in another release with Spinnin’ Records that was released at the beginning of 2008: Disturbed. This record also draw the attention of all the major DJ’s. Cor also teamed up again with Jochen Miller and they released the track Rocinha on Massive Drive Recordings. This track is already picked up by DJ’s like Marco V and Sander Van Doorn. As Paul van Dyk quoted in 2007 is ‘One of the most exciting producers in the world today’ His rapid rise in the global trance community has left a stamp of authority. As 2007 went on John was the proud producer of the finest trance track of the year ‘Big Sky’. 2008 couldn't have started better, seeing John clean up at the Irish Dance Music Awards taking home the best producer and best DJ award. He’s emerged as one of trance scenes leading talents and at the forefront of the new generation of artists pushing the genre into new dimensions. He has entertained hordes in Egypt, Finland and the clubbers’ Paradise – Ibiza. During his time on the White Isle he has played at some of the worlds most prestigious clubs including Privilege, Eden and Café Mambo. Ending 07 seen the Irish man complete a 7 date tour of Australia including supporting PVD in Cairns plus the huge Godskitchen festival in Melbourne. Their 2004 defining track 'Holding onto nothing' was championed by the likes of Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk, who made a special re-rub of the track for his own Vandit imprint. Creators of hits such as ‘El Nino’ & ‘Everyday’ and last years remix of ‘Joc's - Big Sky’ They're without a doubt massive and have made there mark in every corner of the trance community.
