Namasté – Welcome Home; The Arc of Goa at the MS Stubnitz

At the 24th of November 2007, the praised Arc of Goa sets sail to more adventurous directions. With a musical programming existing of Psytrance, Worldbeats, The Chaishop and Clan of Speace, Namasté honours her motto “Connecting Cultures”. The cultures from four different Castes will melt together into one exuberant gathering at the legendary MS Stubnitz near the NSDM Warf in Amsterdam.

At the lower deck of the MS Stubnitz, as usual, it will be a bit rougher than outside on the quiet waters of the Amsterdam Western Port Area. Here the Danish live-act Orion (Solstice Records, DK), the South African live-act Hydraglyph (Sanskara Records, SA) and DJ’s like Rob the Rich (Tranceformers, NL), G-nome (Tranceformers, NL), Ions (Goatrance.nl), Kriya (Namasté, NL), Bart (Namasté, NL) and Riches (Aknatronix, Namasté, NL) will make waves of hallucinogenic Psytrance, Progressive and Full-On clash rhythmically against the walls and hundreds of bodies heave along at the hypnotic melodies.

No Electro and Breakbeat at the middle deck this time, but world music, folk Balkan singing and traditional Gypsy wind orchestras at an energetic trance-beat. Kareem Raihani (NL), PolyEsta (Ruigoord, Cosmic Combination, Namasté, NL), Tommy ‘Enter your Center’ (Namasté, NL), Ishtar (Radio 6, IR) and Hoppa Collective (No-J Edo / Ramses, NL) will surprise you with a festive and extremely danceable mix of trumpet, tuba en trombone sounds on a melodic bed of accordion and guitar. This is the place where cultures are melting together while dancing and where one enjoys life to the max.

Also new is the subspace where Psychozers (Steelpan & MNO / Clan of SPeace, NL), Tameesh (Clan of SPeace, NL) and Nashra (Clan of SPeace, SWE) expose the spiritual soul of Namasté with their intergalactic Chill Out, Dub, Triphop, World Music other Ambidelic sounds. These crusaders of the mystical Clan of Speace covenant make the bridge between the passionate party on the middle deck and the more intimate atmosphere in The Chaishop.

At the back deck of the ship, this time only the talented Chaishop live-musicians from all wind regions of the world let the Spanish, Chilean, Iranian, African and Indian cultures flow together.
