Rave, when you here that word what is the first thing which come to your mind? Well for most people the first thing which comes to mind is a combination of loud electronica, dirty derelict warehouses and drugs.

What most people don’t know is that a rave is so much more than that. A rave is NOT just a place to just go and get high, a rave is a giant collective of similar minds, all coming together to better one another, to love one another, and to listen to the music we all love.

Whatever your style of music is, whatever scene you may be involved with, at the rave, you take all your cares, all your stress’s, all your anger, everything, and just let go, you feel the music, and let it take your soul to a place of overwhelming bliss. What I have witnessed in the past 8 months truly makes me sad, the rave scene is dieing right now. All of the rampid drug use, and all of the violence, all of the lying, the deceit. It has the same effect which a virus has on a body, it infiltrates, and spreads, and before long, it has taken complete control.

A rave is like a living breathing organism; it must be nurtured and well taken care of, because it is very delicate. We all say and preach PLUR, but who knows what plur is really about. It is far more than just a word, far more than something to say what your high. It is an acronym which has such deep meaning that to truly understand PLUR; you must follow it not just at a rave, but in your everyday life. To be PLUR, is to follow the guidelines of basic life, Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Lately I have been seeing very little of this, There have been fights, (peace) people hating and talking shit and not giving a rats ass about anyone (love), nobody trusts each other, (unity), ravers are supposed to be more than friends, we are family. And finally, respect, pretty much accepting that the beliefs, actions and decisions people make are not your decisions or beliefs. But at the same time, still maintaining the love and trust you have in that person even if you don’t agree, nobody agrees on everything, if somebody says something you don’t agree with, does it really matter? Only if it affects you directly.

The goal of Hug Life is to bring back what has been lost, by teaching people how to love, how to get along, and how to have a great time. Remember, we are all family here, so instead of acting and behaving like a dysfunctional family. Why don’t we all try to get along, and love each other like we are all brothers and sisters, because that is what needs to happen.


Hug Life is going to be bringing you some great events; we are putting all of our hearts into it. And we are doing a lot of work at this time.

i hear the fuck outa that!
i dont think of that stuff when somebody says rave to me lol
i think of a happy place where i have the most fun where i can do what i want without other ppl caring
when i think of a rave i think of a dream world where everything is perfect and nothing can go wrong (even tho sometimes things do lol)
but yea i dont think of a dirty warehouse and a bunch of drugs
