Cheap costumes?

Hey, can anyone recommend where I can get some cheap clothes for raving in? I'm into cyberpunk/cyberwear kinda stuff, and it's all so freaking EXPENSIVE.

Anyone? I also welcome DIY clothing.

For instance, I plan on making boots out of some army surplus combat boots, and sewing leather straps and buckles on them (I have a contact that can get me cheap leather).

check around at thrift store's, you'd be amazed what you can find their if you actually look around and look behind things =D
