![]() SATURDAY 02 FEBRUARY 2008 RHYTHM LOGISTICS – “the movement that is rhythm” Rhythm Logistics (Alex Jann) has come a long way over the last few years within the UK techno scene. He is a Producer/DJ/Engineer based in the south of the UK. Alex has come up through the ranks of the UK party scene with hard working party heads the Section 63 crew. This has given him the opportunity to play alongside a massive range of top acts over the years like the Liberators, D.a.v.e. the Drummer, Mark EG, Rowland the Bastard, Ant, Rakkit, the F.A.T Collective, Alex Calver, Jerome Hill, Guy “geezer” McGaffer, Jamie Bissmire, and so many more it’s hard to remember!!!! He has also played on a whole host of other systems in the scene like Manik, Tribe of Munt, Fuctnose, Ravenous, Semtex, Malfaiteurs and a whole heap of UK and international systems. This has made him witness many different angles on the scene; from the days of multi-rig / multi-day parties and festivals all around the UK and Europe, to the perfectionism that is induced from carefully planned and professionally produced club nights that the team and he are involved in. Whether it be hard, Jackin’, slow, funky, heart-stopping or just plain out there, his style is ever changing to the floors his music fills. It varies from the very pure clean edge, to the pounding relentless side of the powerful and emotive genre that is modern techno. His production mirrors this transition well showcasing a very different sonic array of releases under his belt. From the extremely dynamic “conduct” on Glenn Wilson’s label “Templ8r”, to the rolling “Rush” on the “More Punk Than Funk” label straight out of the Welsh techno stable that is the F.A.T Collective. Let us not forget the party roots of this artist with his release on the massive Stay Up Forever’s label Wah Wah, proving that acid and punk are very much alive in a world obsessed with being “up to date” and “brand new” in the realm of dance production. He has a large list of forthcoming releases in his arsenal that are waiting to be unleashed on a whole host of labels in the coming seasons ………so if you haven’t heard him, you’re sure going to feel him on the dance floor.
