california promote their shit all the time and everybody is always so excited and keep talkin about it, especially when theres a massive like, EDC, Nocturnal, Monster Massive, and Together As One...but in texas, i dont see shit, dallas aint got shit, san antonio for sure aint got shit, and austin aint got shit either. its all clubs, al, lizard, antro, sky, where all the good ol massives at besides meltdown?

Anyways yeah I've noticed it too.
We have events here and there, but we don't have the love to put on these huge events like Cali does. H-Town has some good Silo parties, there's a beach party goin down soon, and umm Molly says there's a field rave in Dallas if I'm corerct, and umm yeah not much non-club deals goin on at all really. Shiva Shakti does some outdoor events. The J. Lorraine Ghost Ranch got shut down a few months ago, cause of some bullshit, so there goes a piece of history. San Antonio......yeah when is something ever gonna happen to that place? Every now and then you'll get word of some super underground thing goin down, and they usually have a low turn out, and it sucks...yeah....we need a bigger following.

thats why theres something called promoting, and some good headliners that will get ppl to go...say something like sensation black would be nice

there WERE ALOT of missives going on in TX. but due to low turnouts and the police harrassment we could no longer do massive events.. police in TX wiat for the promoters to band together to do a big event and they bankrupt all the promoters at the same time by shutting down the events using bullshit rules and regulations and harrassing the venues till they cancell the event.. so the best thing we can do right now to keep things alive till people start supporting again is to do individual events .. massive are very expensive.. i think the biggest party you are going to see in ATX for a while will be my 9 year anniversary..

Sensation Black (see sig for date) will never happen in Texas.
Like SMT said, police and getting people to get off their asses and go.
We need turnout to make a profit to make more events, if no one shows we lose profit, thus no good events, if ys set aside the law, and legal issues.

Promoting is one thing, sure people will know, but they won't go. Alot of people don't even know most of the headliners coming around, so they don't know a good show when they see it. Maybe if before we promote an event, we get people hooked on the music.
SMT seems to be doing a good job of that with Infected Mushroom.
Like I said, set aside the law, it's the ravers, not the promoters...in my opinion.

here here, i just moved from san D Breaker... and while i was out there i never ONCE went to a massive, i dont care for 3000 FUCKED up people in one place unless its something like EDC and out in the open but the area, fuck that. I raved about 2 times a month and man it was the shit, small parties that were easily conceled and did not draw alot of attention. but as with jesus its the ravers. In this age of jaded ravers everywhere they have been burned too many times and dont know what its like to just enjoy the music. LONG LIVE THE MUSIC
