Count me in.. Been all about Techno since I saw Dave the Drummer back in 2000.. At the time I was spinning NRG/Hard Trance...

I saw Misstress Barbara at Boo 6, and that was it for me.

Here in Albany, there is like, no scene. I have to head down to NYC to see any Techno.. Most definately worth the trip... I saw Julian Liberator at the last party I went to down there.. Best DJ set that night...

I've yet to get out to the DEMF.. I was thinking maybe this summer... Didn't that shit used to be free????

It WAS free at one time - but as a good thing goes, the city gets a little greedy as well as the promoters, and you are now paying.....Although I believe it was $30 for the 3 day weekend and $15 an individual day. Really not that bad for a 36 hour party. That is if you can handle that much. If you add the afterparties, wooooo, that's a hell of a weekend.

I paid 60 American Dollars when I went to WEMF in 2k1, and that was hella farther away...

It's May 26-28... I'll try to be there. My GF is pregnant, so I donno if we're going to be partying much for the next 2 years. If we can make it out to one or two big parties though, DEMF will be the first I consider. I love Techno, it's really more of a lifestyle to me than just a genre of music. In my head, it's all I hear, the soundtrack to life.

Shit I remember Boo 6! Barbara ripped it. That night ended with Derrick May and Hawtin back to back sets, thats when I officially became a "techno-head"

Get out to Detroit for DEMF this year - Hawtin, Misstress will both be playing. Derrick won't but Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills will also be there....HELL YEAHS!!!

Im here! LOve old skool detroit techno!!!! Underground resistance kicks ass! I also like carl craig and Frankie bones. Problem today is all of the ignorant retards refer to all electronic music as "techno" so i guess things get mixed up.
