Song I've been trying to ID for years... help?

My first roomate in college had a bunch of CDs and would play stuff all the time. There was one song I really loved and I thought I had managed to borrow the CD from her and copy it. Well, turns out I didn't, and I didn't manage to go through her 200+ collection and find it.
I've tried googling what lyrics I know, but nothing so far. Here is what I can remember:

"TV, TV
Give me something good to see,
How 'bout a tear jerker,
Or a comedy.
Forget it, I'm going online."
and
"What would you scream in my ear?
I fear my attention span
Is coming to an end."

I do not know the name offhand but i think i heard it already but thas a while now lol..what i would suggest is google the main lyrics used in the song and jus hope someone asked the same question and you got an answer
