I was given a bunch of Squarepusher music in a huge batch file, one of them being labeled simply "15 Lost in Space". However it sounds nothing like Squarepusher and doesn't appear on any of his albums. The mp3's length is (8:14). One result I got was that it was by Amon Tabin, but upon further searching I didn't find a track called Lost in Space on any of his albums or singles.
So, "15 Lost in Space" (8:14) Can anyone fully ID this track? It's best described as ambient breakbeat or light drum'n'bass with gentle pads and a little piano here and there. It's completely instrumental. Thanks again! |

I can't believe you posted this only 2 days ago. I've tried searching for this information off and on for the past couple of years. I just got into it again today and spent (wasted) like an hour. I need to know what track this is too.
My version is also 8:14 and is labeled Squarepusher - Cooper's World. (but i think it might have originally also said lost in space or something... i stupidly changed the name of the file). I originally got it off of some p2p in like 2002. Most likely, KaZaa Lite. "Coopers World" is the first track on Squarepusher's album "Hard Normal Daddy" and is definitely not the same as this track. But for some reason over the years, I became convinced that there was another version of "Coopers World" (this 8:14 song) on the compilation "Lost in Space Drum 'n' Bass 2000". I don't know why I would think because it seems pretty stupid when i think about it now that he would have two tracks with the same name that sound completely different. I must have read it somewhere. Or maybe I thought that because of the tag on the mp3 that said 'lost in space' or whatever. I don't know. But i've been trying to track down that compilation album for years and I can't find it. I just wanted to add my .02 and maybe we can figure out what this track is. I have another one that is killing me too, but that's a story for another day. Now I signed up for this board just to post this and I will probably never remember to come back and check up. Why doesn't someone have a database of all mislabeled songs that were shared on p2p networks over the years. It would definitely need to be sortable by track length though. Here is the link to "Lost in Space Drum 'n' Bass 2000" cd on discogs: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Steve |
