AREA 1
DB / AMONLY / Breakbeat Science / NYC Arriving in New York from London in '89, it could be said that no one has done more for Drum & Bass in America than DB. First with his hardcore Breakbeat club NASA, then by launching Sm e communications and releasing the first Jungle singles & compilations in the U.S, as well as signing DJ Dara, thus kick starting his artist career. He & Dara then opened Breakbeat Science, dedicated to Drum & Bass, It quickly become not only the most respected record store & label, but also the very epicenter of the jungle community in the u.s. Having recently "10", his tenth mix cd in ten years, he is now working on an artist album with dj Stakka, focusing on the more musical side of the genre, which as a dj, is what DB has become best loved for. FORCE / Ohm Resistance / Direct Drive / Cyber Groove / Big-H / NYC DJ Force was first introduced to the sounds of jungle / drum and bass by the dj Reid Speed at her Long Island home back in 1995. From there he acquired Dara's epic "Tearout" mix (or was it an Odi mix? We'll never know...) and was hooked. Years of playing live rock shows led him into a strong addiction to musical performance & arrangement, which he parlayed into DJ greatness. DJ Force plays all styles of "proper" d&b, but chooses to concentrate on big-energy dancefloor tunes. At the moment his favorite producers in drum and bass are: Fresh, IllSkillz, Pendulum, Jon[s], Garon, Paradox, Fracture, Neptune, Future, Prophecies, Dillinja, and the Burner Brothers. SHELLSHOCK / Omaha, Kansas City Patrick Everwood representing Cymbalism Recordings and KCs own Blink (aka Tony Markham) and Skizm come together for mash up madness. We don't know what to expect for this hour and a half of mayhem but we've taken the liberty of bolting down everything in sight in lue of the chaos. Senseone / Unstoppable Entertainment / Deconstruction Industries / Philadelphia, PA Gaia / Jungle Recon / Wichita, KS Craveone / Jungle Recon / RaggaMuffin Sound / Foul Play Records Mingus / Cosmos United / Kansas City Just John / Collective Inc / Manhattan, KS AREA 2 GLUE (aka KrazyGlue) / Cardboard City / HeadHunterz Inc / Cyber Groove / NYC A household name in the city that never sleeps, KrazyGlue formed the Drum N Breaks crew in 1996 and has been tearing up cities across the nation since 2000 with his signature drum n breaks sound. With professional training in jazz and alto saxophone starting at the age of 8, close to 10 years of experiencein the DJ circuit, a consistent weekly DJ schedule for the past 5 years, 6 self-released mixtapes/CDs, successful event organization and participation, and recent touring with Warner Musics new band Head Automatica (supporting The Cure on 2004s Curiosa Festival), GLUE has long been a fixture in the East Coast underground dance music scene. London welcomed him in 2001 with a prime-time slot at the legendary Ministry of Sound. Currently, GLUE is the official tour DJ for Head Automatica (formed by Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo and Dan The Automator in 2004). Add stage time to recent studio collaborations with DC drum n bass production outfit HeadHunterz Inc, and 2005 is sure to be quite a year for this DJ.
