Hey I'm new to the rave scene and have never actually been to one yet. I started taking X about a month ago. And I've been around people while they talk about them. They sound really interesting. Only I'm under 18 and live in Wichita, Kansas. So I was wondering if this is going to create a problem for me finding raves to go to an get in? I would greatly appreciate anyone who goes to raves and is willing to talk to me about it because most of my friends aren't into it. Thanks so much. If you don't want to post here my email is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] !

it's called Return, it's not by neighborhood production it's by Praiserave. you can find it on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] though under events. umm new info, they are holding it in a church, and it's done by some local bible thumpers, so ummm yeah..... NO!! I guess the production name should tip ya off ya? LOL but none the less if you want to find out when wichita parties are going on.....
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is wichita [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] when it is up and running, wichita events [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for all midwest events [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] mostly kc/st.louis area events [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] mostly kc/st.louis events |

Hey thanks so much. So umm... Would you say that it'd be a good one to go to? I myself am not really into the whole religious scene and yeah. So this might be a stupid question but should I expect alot of people to be there? Oh yeah and thanks for the websites! Much appreciated!

well it's really a personal choice. If your going to party and not really to enjoy music then no. If your not really religious and you don't feel like being hassled then no. If you love electronica and are down with where ever the venue is then yeah. Personally I don't like the influences of religion involved with my music.

lots of junglists are overtaking wichita, who wants to spread more love here? it would be great to have a large wearhouse party, with lots of kandi kids, good vibes and no burned out junglists!

agreed. There is hardly any passion for it anymore. Raving used to be an EVENT. Now...... *sighs, it's just getting sad

Noice!!! Problem really isn't finding dj's or sound, lighting, promotion etc.... it's finding a rocking venue, then finding a following here in the ict. It's pretty much all gone into the club/bar. Myself personally refuse to spin in a club or bar. I'm all about supporting the scene, but people in this area are just burnt out of the same ol venues, same rotating dj's etc. Plus the vibe, or lack there of, is barely hanging on. A "rave" is really no longer a rave it's just a party. The spirit of it is slowly fading. But I as you are open to any new suggestions. If all dj's, sound guys, lighting, etc... could collaborate on ONE huge event instead of these small gatherings, where the music only caters to certain groups, then things might build back up. Need a dj i'll do it for free, hell i got quite a few that would do it for nothing, sound lighting, i'm with you m8, No problems. Just gimme a freaking venue other than a damn club/bar. I would love for this next summer to have any and every damn dj KS has to offer to find a venue, preferably outside for camping, all of us use our networking and throw a rocking party for minimal cost. Get every willing participant in the scene to donate what they have djing, sound, lighting, services etc... and i'm positive people will turn out. Good people coming together to throw a massive party, with ALL types of music. Bring everyone back together. I would love more than anything to help in anyway, even if it's just promoting a huge event this summer in kansas, specifically more in the ict area. but anywhere in ks will suffice. It would be stellar to have like a two day camping event with different stages for all tastes. Just John i would love to help you in anyway possible, hell even if it meant that i needed to for over money for a headliner fee, i'm a willing participant. Dance hall licence, cabaret license, no problem, it's throwing an outdoor event that's tricky, only holding it for one night you either gotta keep it on the DL from police, have private land with licence, or hold it as a music festival other than a "rave". I would lub to brainstorm with you m8 anytime.
