Yes the rave scene in Miami is pretty decent, and if your of age,go to Club Space, well there are more clubs then Space here, but it seems most famous at this time.

How old are you? She meant raves, not clubs. Big difference. I would love to hear that Miami had a rave. I would be over from Naples faster than ever...

um, i'm older then you, how about that?

how about i started at the edge downtown orlando in 1992, yeah you were in 1st grade.

i know what a rave is, ep does them all the time.

maybe you missed the memo on bang festival in november?

besides the fact that your location says chicago, so i can understand your non-understanding of how the scene down here started and stayed in the CLUBS for years before the 97 rave law killed all that.

so next time, dont confuse your fucked up chicago scene for the one down here.

I'm not interested in how the rave scene got statred in Miami. I'm only interested if there are any now. I'm a producer from Chicago and spend half my time in Marco Island, where I am now; and believe me, Miami is like a second home. You mentioned some bang festival in Novemeber. However that is just a commercial event, not an underground. What do you mean EP does them all the time? I raved big time in the 90's, and Chicago practially defined what a rave is. Now in Chicago, they have parties which reflect those times, and are still in warehouses and such. I would love it if you told me Miami had the same...

yes there are raves there all the time, again see Euphoriaproject.org

commercial event? why because more people go to that then promoters could ever get in chicago?

rave big time in the 90's and chicago dont go hand in hand, you mean to went to party's that they charged you to much for, with dj's who didn't know they were supposed to play, for promoters that called the cops on their own shows?

just so they could make the cash and go home early.

yeah dude, chicago is my second home, i owned a club 15 mins outside of chicago, kurt from drop bass....yeah i know him, louis from vibonauts...i know him, joe from boogie tribe...yeah the same.

chicago made house music 20 years ago, it has never, let me repeat NEVER been known for it's party's.

unless you meant shady shit at party's, then they were well known.

yeah they still do have shows that refelct those times, matter of fact i went to the 2006 new years show done by source, around 12 the cops came in and busted it, meanwhile i had to tell over 20 people that i did not have drugs.

say why would the wmc be held in miami if chicago is the place to be?

oh, maybe because it ain't.................lol

No wonder you got a bad taste of Chicago. You went to Source's party on News Years Eve. The real party on New Years in Chicago was called Countdown by True Family Unit. Anyway, I hope these Florida raves are as good as you say, cause I'll be there, I love to dance....

hey, i'm friends with adonis, so let me say that i saw both line ups, and source had it hands down, i wanted to goto wisco, but i was only in town visiting mom for a couple of days.

second, i spent ALOT of time going to party's in chicago.

lets bring up some classics?

live on the decks 3, boogie tribe oversold the show, and sold tickets to under 18 when they KNEW it was 18 and up.

end result was cops comming to keep control of these 1500 kids, by BEATING them and letting the dogs loose on them.

great party on the inside though, hawtin was the shit.

but wait, that was less then a year before when they oversold there into the darkness 98 show.......

i got booking agents on the phone telling me to send them flyers, so they can start legal action against half the promoters in chicago bro.

because they got dj's on their flyer that have no idea they are even supposed to play at this show.

i got roland the basterd staying at my house cause roger from ripe stiffed him on his fee for the night, along with countless other dj's as well.

let me put it this way, i went to hundreds of shows in chicago, i throw at least fifty shows myself, with roy davis jr,roland the basterd, dave the drummer, chris liberator, misstress barbera, nigel richards, paul johnson, ellery cowls, mystic bill, john b.i.d.,paul anthony,3d,dj moda, panacea, dave trance, james christian,lion,...........

i know all about chicago, whats been going down, and what will be going down next week.

and it sucks.

promoters are so scared to lose money, that they never take a chance to make any.

pure is making money off it's club events and one offs.

commercial you would call them.

yeah, you should go to bang as see what a real show is about.

notice the price of bang which is all day and all night, compared to chicago's pure future global party this summer.

that show being 12 hours only.

notice the line-ups at both.

see here is a little known deal.

in orlando back in the day, raves started in clubs, crazy huh? but it's true, icey started at the edge, jimmy van m,ak1200,chris fortier,q-burns,acosta,etc,etc

you could go out 7 nights a week in orlando if you wanted, if you were 18, and see great dj's, i mean sasha came here first, the chemical bros came here first,etc,etc,etc....

you could go to a huge show like the dust bros,dj monk, icey, kimball, baby anne, etc, etc rave at the edge and for 6 bucks, you could party till NOON the next day, fuck, it said NOON right on the flyer.

i went out five nights a week to party's for about five years,92-97, i saw NONE of them get busted, i never paid for a afterparty, after years of my cousin tell me what a great scene there was up there, i finally moved.

to party's that got busted every other one, to dj's that did not play,to promoters charging me 25 bucks every saturday night instead of the 10-15 i was used to.

to paying for afterparty's.

i saw 12 year old kids in party's up there, shit go on midwestravers.com, they will tell you they all started raving at like 14-15, but some as young as 12.

nothing wrong with that scene huh?

if you know your party's, like i'm sure you do, this wont be impressive.

i mean it's a list of locals.

not that they dont rock, it's just i never heard them.

venue might be amazing and something to go to check out for sure.

i'm telling you, bang is gonna be where it is at.

bayfront park during the day, biggest club in the us at night.

awesome.

roy davis played at the last one, i happen to know him pretty well, great guy, even a great dj/producer.

gimme a pm and i'll shoot you my number, we can chat it up on the phone.
