![]() ![]() WHEN BEATS COLLIDE BROUGHT TO YOU BY ECSTATIC, OUTLAWED AND MOON PROJECT SATURDAY AUGUST 23 MILWAUKEE AREA 3 ROOMS WITH PERFORMANCES BY: UFO! Drum and Bass/Electro New York City, NY sanguinerecordings.com Producing and performing for nearly two decades, UFO! continues to edge forward, staking a position on the outward perimeter of music. Inertia is something this artist has had little use for in the past. Though widely regarded as one of the US's pioneering drum 'n bass artists and DJs, UFO! is poised to reinvent himself as a musician yet again, rising from the miasma of an ever-mutating underground music scene. Having frequented many Wisconsin raves in the mid 90’s, UFO! is no stranger to what it takes to fill our electronic appetite. Since then, he has released more than two dozen singles on labels such as Thermal, Position Chrome, Phylum, Vortex, Commercial Suicide, Green, and Phunckateck Communications. He also released his first album, The Future is Listening, on Thermal in 2001, one of the first full-length albums produced by an American drum 'n bass artist. After his move to the East Coast, UFO! saw several of his productions featured in new media forums, including on MTV and the hit TV series, CSI:NY. DEADLY BUDA Hardcore/Techno Los Angeles, California Deadlybuda.com An early 90’s Wisconsin rave regular for Drop Bass Network, Deadly Buda has helped pioneer the US hardcore sound. Having once been recognized as one of the top 5 hardcore DJs and producers in America by URB magazine, Buda had the visions it took to run a successful label, Deadly Systems. At Deadly Systems he created all the label's artwork, and produced the music for the first two releases. In addition, he wrote much of, published and edited “The Deadly Type” - a newspaper dedicated to the underground rave scene. Also very well known for his graffiti art, using the name "Buda", he trail-blazed the “Monster Rock” letter style which has inspired much modern day graffiti. He painted with many old skool graffiti masters such as Tracy 168, Phase 2, and Daze. A man of many traits, Deadly Buda makes his presence known in every scene he involves himself with and the Midwest is very excited to have him on this special night. STUNNA Drum and Bass Chicago, Illinois Djstunna.com Hailing from the Windy City, STUNNA has been deeply immersed in the Chicago music scene for many years. Schooled in piano study from an early age, his use of new age synthesizers was inevitable to start creating EDM and later, groundbreaking Drum and Bass. As time went on he joined local Chicago funk bands and began working with House producers such as ROY DAVIS JR. in the mid-to-late 90's, playing keys and collaborating on original tracks and re-mixes. Currently, STUNNA continues to work on original D+B tracks, promotes many shows around Chicago, tours with bands, DJ's around the world, and hosts the weekly radio show 'THE GREENROOM' Wednesdays on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. He has signed tracks to STRICTLY-DIGITAL, PHUZION, DEFUNKED, FOKUZ, VIBEZ, PHUNKFICTION, BIOS, and LEVITATED to name a few. And also is collaborating with a page full of other artists to create some of the freshest sounds in the D+B industry. Actually outlawed and ecstatic have not thrown an event without each other since 2005! I should of posted this on here... The venue told me at about 11:00 pm that night that the event only went till 1:30 am! I was sure the 19 djs booked at a 3 room event that started at 8 only went till about 2am, because I was pretty sure that the djs where not getting 2 hour slots. I heard rumors after the event that the promoters where telling people the cops shut it down. Which I think was bull shit if you ask me. Why would the venue tell me it ended at 1:30 if it was an all night party? This place holds monthly electronic events that end at 1:30 I'm sure the cops were waiting outside just because they know there is events there monthly and prolly where just there because they had nothing better to do then fuck with kids that where leaving at bar time since it was a legal venue that was serving booze. If they even where there! Did anyone see them or was that what the promoters just said? |
