Thursday, March 02, 2006 at 9pm Room: The Rave Bar All Ages - 21 or older to drink Tickets on sale now at Ticketmaster.com, and The Rave Box Office - 414-342-RAVE Ethereal vocals, filtered snippets of conversations, spy-movie soundtrack samples, jazzy sax/flute solos, watery eclectic pianos, sliced-n-diced hooks and squiggly guitar figures all ascend to a percolating crescendo as DJ Spooky dovetails jazz and artistic turntablism. His deeply urban style finds hard survivalist beats cutting above the street's din as he chops, scratches and scribbles across vintage grooves in battle. The academic seeks out arcane knowledge, sounds and sources, focusing on eerie and haunted beat structures that move body and soul across the dance floor with engrossing hits like "Object Unknown."
