She is a true artist and should not to be missed. ![]() REID SPEED LA Breakbeat Science, After 2 years behind the counter at Breakbeat Science, 13 mixtapes and 5 years of hard work and relentless self promotion, Reid released her debut mix “Resonance” on Breakbeat Science Recordings. The album was a critical and commercial success and was hailed as one of the top releases of the year by Urb & Mixer magazines. She was also voted as “the best of 2001” by the Fader and Flyer magazines, as well as making it onto BPM’s top 100 Djs list. The follow up, 2003’s “Life After Dark” was a statement of sonic fury railing against the Sept 11 attacks, the demise of NYC clublife, and as a general backlash against the prevailing darkness of drum & bass. It too garnered critical praise and national attention. Her tour in support of the release was such a success that Ming & FS invited her to perform on their upcoming tour.
