![]() 11.30.07 // HomeBrew // AudioTribe Showcase That's right, it's our turn to show off a little. Make sure to come out and show your love! AA7 One of the original gangsters of AudioTribe, AA7 started out playing drum n bass at parties in Milwaukee and Madison. After a few years of life doing it's thing, he found another niche in the music industry that suited him well, hip hop. He has been playing beats for quite a few years, opening for local bands, doing his own nights at various place as well. AA7 always knows how to work the crowd and get their booties shakin. Aeon With a love of industrial music starting in 1994, it was only natural that Aeon started immersing himself in the EDM scene in 1997, frequenting parties in Wisconsin and Illinois. With influences such as Richie Hawtin , Vicious Vic, Dan Efex, Steven Kaye, Matt Druid, and Phantom 45, he knew his calling was more than just going to shows. In 1998, he decided it was time to start buying records and learning how to play. Starting with hard trance, he honed his technical skills and ear for music, and later progressed into techno, regularly leaving dance floor annihilated and heads blown with his energetic sets. It was in 2004 on a road trip to Toronto that he was exposed to a new style of minimal techno, and It was the exact sound he'd been looking for. While helping to run AudioTribe's weekly event HomeBrew, Aeon brought that same flavor to Milwaukee, and has since been pushing that sound, dropping glitchy minimal sexiness everywhere he goes. Greenheck Greenheck started going to parties and listening to electronic music in late 1997, and after becoming fully immersed in the sound, started buying records in 1998. Heavily influenced at the time by the sounds of Renegade Hardware, Ram Records, and Virus Records, you can still hear those roots in his style today. After living in Minneapolis and playing with the Teopelli crew, Greenheck moved to Madison and took a residency at King Club on its Thursday nights. He then moved to Milwaukee, and decided to take a hiatus from playing. After a few months, the will to play had overtaken him, and he started playing out again, landing a residency at AudioTribe's HomeBrew weekly, playing alongside acts such as Limewax, Unknown Error, Arsenic, and Gein. He is now in full swing again, playing regularly around the city Orlow First hearing electronic music on WMSE's "Late Nite Beat Generation" radio show in 1996, DJ Orlow was instantly hooked. He was taken to his first rave in 1997, and started going to parties regularly in Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago. In early 1999, a local dj/producer gave him his first records, and with the influence of the Chicago house scene, started playing house music. Orlow then started to practice his turntablism skills and started picking up some funky breaks records. Not long after, he was introduced to 2 Step, and added that to his record bag. Gaining notoriety with his breaks and 2 Step sound, he received a booking for his first big show at The Bassment, and soon after started playing at numerous shows around the city. Progressing from the lighter 2 Step sound, he got into drum and bass, hip hop, and hardcore, always bringing an eclectic mix of sounds to keep the crowd going. Receiving regular bookings in Madison, he started pushing his darker sounds to the crowd. For two years, Orlow helped run AudioTribe's weekly event HomeBrew , continually pushing his eclectic sound, filling the dance floor during his residency. In early 2006, he was introduced to a new sound; dubstep. Has since then been aiding in pioneering the sound to clubs in Milwaukee. Now a full-on dubstep soldier, Orlow is crushing dance floors with heavy bass rollers and mind numbing synth lines. Sir Fice In 1994, Sir Fice was exposed to electronic music. A year later he bought a copy of Plastikman's "Sheet One," and became completely immersed in the sound. On New Year's Eve 1995, he was taken to his first Rave in Milwaukee, and found the music's missing link. Knowing he had to be a part of it, he started frequenting events all around Wisconsin and Illinois in 1996. Sir Fice started buying house records in 1998, practicing his skills and playing small house parties. He landed a gig at The Bassment, and proceeded to get regular bookings around the city. After starting to progress his house sound into a faster, harder pace, he moved into techhouse, and soon after, full blown techno. Sir Fice was receiving regular bookings in Madison and Milwaukee, pushing techno wherever people would listen. By 2004, he had started experimenting with minimal techno, and had grown a large collection of old techno classics which he couldn't stop playing. In 2005, he, along with the rest of AudioTribe, started their weekly event HomeBrew which went for 2 years, in which time his style progressed and he started to play a mix of edgier minimal and oldschool techno, and has been pushing that style ever since, playing alongside artists such as Steve Bug, Derek Plaslaiko, Punisher, Robert Armani and Woody McBride.
