Halloween In Madion Wisconsin

Hello all,

New to posting to the site. Have used it for a while and enjoyed every event i have went to.

On October 29th in Madison wisconsin is the halloween bash.
Maybe you know about it maybe you don't.

I know this isn't a rave, but this is so bad ass that it has to be mentioned.

If you do, no explaining is needed. The rest is for those who don't read on.

Approx 75-80 thousand people flock to the capital of wisconsin, madison on oct 29, a saturday. The party takes place on State st. right infront of the capital building. This is not a sanctioned event. Just a ridiculus anual massive bash with 80 thousand of your closes friends in costume in a mardi gras like set up. The entire city quickly books up on hotels a month in advance. if you can get in great but you wil be paying. Search the internet on it for pics. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The whole rioting crap that is talked about is way over blown. The newspapers make a big deal out of nothing. Heres the rules for drinking on state street.
Basicly you can be underage going down the street in the massive wall to wall crowd drinking a beer and the cop will just tell you to dump it. Give him crap and he'll threaten a ticket. So dump it.

Currently going up with 3 car loads in my group alone. Got a hotel 2 months in advance. Doing a riot police costume theme with 8 of us in identical real riot gear purchased off ebay. helmet with blacked out visor, swat vest, sheild, baton, neck cover, you get the idea. We will most likely have neck fulls of beads. If you see a squad of 8 or so riot police with mardi gras beads around their neck say whats up. You'll probably get a bunch for free.
