trust me:
1 cup of ketchup 1 cup of chili sauce (not tobasco, the stuff in the ketchup aisle) 1/2 cup of mollases 2 teaspoons of hot sause (tabasco my personal fav) 2 cups of medium chopped onions 8 cloves of finely chopped garlic 1/3 cup of worstishire sauce 2 TBS of corn oil Mix Ketchup, Chili Sauce, Mollases, worstishire and hot sauce in a mixing bowl. in a large pot add oil, onion, and garlic. Cook on medium heat until onion has become translucent. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the onion. Then add the mixture in mixing bowl and cook on low heat for 2 hours with the lid on. Thats it, the best BBQ sauce ever. Courtesy of Lowball, I highly suggest everyone here go out and try it. BBQ Season is here!!!!!!!!!!!! |

This shit is off the hook. I havent had it in years though, as it really goes well with beef, and alas I haven't had it for years. Someone else make it and love it
1 1/4 cups blackberries 1/4 cup catsup 1/4 cup honey (the grainier the better) 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup minced ginger (I use a lil less) 1 teaspoon pepper (use good pepper. Crack/hammer your own it really is nice) 1 or 2 teaspoons hot sauce, to taste blender that shit and simmer it until its about 1 1/3- 1 1/2 cups. Throw it on some ribs and let it turn into a nice sticky glaze. |

not true. Recipes are guidelines, following them results in consistant product,
A good recipe is an excellent launching pad for tinkering and making sauces to your own taste. |

Coca-Cola bbq sauce is where it at.
1 12 ounce can Classic Coke 1 1/2 cups ketchup 1 cup finely chopped yellow onion 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1-2 tbsp. mole-asses 2-3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper Chipotle pepper sauce to taste combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, covered for 30 minutes until sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally. Strain. Add chipotle pepper sauce to taste, I like a lot as it is pretty mild and adds smokey tones. |

mmm this is my kind of thread!
the best BBQ sauce i ever had was the ones they sold at my old highschool... it was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy... i asked the lunch ladies were they get it from so i can stock up... but apparently it's soo top secret that they can't disclose the specifics... i'm thinking costco... either way i haven't come across it yet... and i'm having withdrawals! |

Whisky is a nice touch. Some Islay Single Malt Scotch add nice woody-peaty smoke flavors as well...
