when has connected EVER DONE THAT? LOL THEY ARENT LIKE OTHER PRODUCTION COMPANIES! i saw them up front when the fire alarm went off and they seriously ALL did not know what was going on and we're trying to fix it asap. connected = GOOD PEOPLE. i don't think they would lie. parties at that venue have gone ALL night before. it's not like the crackhouse where you basically know its going to end at 2.

SHIT HAPPENS. doesn't mean they should have to throw another party just because one person didn't have fun, didn't get their early enough, and obviously didn't buy presales. maybe you should have better planned out the way YOU got to the rave and then maybe YOU would of been satisfied. BUY PRESALES WHEN THEY FIRST GO ON SALE [$10 FOR THIS PARTY], & ARRIVE EARLY.

plur

btw CONNECTED KICKED ASS.
Actually I was goin on my friends schedule so we got there at 9 but the line took a long time compared to most lines so we didn't get in till 945.

We DID get presales a few days before, 22$ it was a last minute thing going to this rave otherwise we would've gotten them when they were first on sale.

Also, they did not put a price at the door on the flyer and somehow EVERYONE thought and was told it was 25$ and multiple people had to ask people and friends for money because it was really 30$ at the door...I think its wise to buy presales and I always do, but thats kinda messed up...And annoying to hear people continue saying omg thats so fucking up, i was told 25, i don't have enough money, what am i going to do..

By the way, you should read all of the posts on here. I said I was over it, I don't want to come on Ravelinks and continue being bothered about this I can't delete this thread, and others said to just let it die. So let it fucking die.

p.s. im NOT the ONLY person who feels this way, others on this post and another woodstock post feel like it wasn't worth all your money and was a little disappointed and a few of my friends at the rave were really bummed. plus someone said they won't be going to a connected party for a while... this isn't just me but god forbid I come on Ravelinks a lot so I'm the only one really getting into this.

And I don't think Connected are bad people. oooooookayyy i'm done. thanks for your opposing opinion but I'm done with this thread! thanx! if you have anything more to say, just PM me and maybe I'll get back to ya.

Lol lowball... i think you like arguing too much

Im cool with keeping the thread going, but lets try not to piss anyone off

I think it can be agreed upon that woodstock was a bummer for some people because of a) the fact that it ended early, b) the price at the door, and c) some people didnt like the venue.

Personally, I thought the party was bumpin until the end (though it might have just been the drugs ). The people there were awesome and nice and I made a lot of friends that were just trying to kick it. The overall vibe was fantastic, one of the best I've felt in a long time, not to mention great djs and sufficient lights.

However, when the music stopped, I was still in party mode and didnt want it to end. I was a little ticked off for a while, but hey... shit happens. I dont think that was Connected's fault, and I dont think Connected should be responsible for a makeup party. They did the best they could under the circumstances, and the fact that the fire department came shouldnt be blamed on them. Parties take a shitload of preparation (lol @ common sense) and things can go wrong. But woodstock was going for a long time, and it was just unlucky that the fire alarm got smoked out/pulled.

Its understandable this will make some people pissed, cause they got in late or whatever, but hey... there will always be more parties. Plus, makeups are NEVER as good as planned raves anyways. No question.

Just wait for one of the upcoming raves and CHILL! Stay PLUR and try not to get in each others hair. Differing of opinion is cool, but dont be hostile about it. The scene doesnt need any of that shit.

heheheh, I personally didn't see myself as argueing here, more like instigating. But if anybody took my comments as me trying to argue, then I appologize, I have nothing against anybody here, or anybody's opinion, I was simply expressing mine, and then having some fun.

Trust me, if you knew me you'd probably think of me as one of the most down to earth people you've ever met, unless you only see me at raves, in which case you probably thing i'm a raving lunatic.

Btw, did I mention this thread rawks!!

oh and perfectasy, if you really would like to see how work really is put into a rave i'd be more than happy to show you...

PM me.

Okay so I'm not really sure to say to everyone here. A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone who is showing us support and love through this. Honor and I have been planning this show for about 5 months ago and we really wanted this show to make everyone happy, sometimes it just doesn't seem to work out like that though. Trust that there's no one as upset about it as us. When that fire alarm went off I was freaking out!! We got it turned off and someone pulled the fucking thing again!!! What a prick!!! If you're not having a good time why mess it up for more than 900 other people. Both Honor and myself were distraught when the party and ended and everyone had to pile out. To be perfectly honest to see almost a half years worth of work get blown for a moment of stupidity brought me to the verge of tears and made me question whether I want to do this anymore, Fortunately all the positive responses and understanding that everyone has given us has made me feel a whole hell of a lot better about everything. Thanks so much to everyone again who has and continues to show us all the support, there's no way we could do any of this without you guys!

As far as the person that said we should have thrown the show at Gift Center (Lift 2 venue) I have news for you. The Gift Center is DONE because of everything that went down at Lift 2, trust that I'm not dissing on Evo as I have MAD RESPECT for them and think they are awesome promoters. That fact is that the venue was disrespected and the event coordinator refuses to work with anyone involved with our scene anymore. We'd been in talks with them before Lift 2 went down about using that venue for No Place Like Home 2. After Lift 2 they basically told us they'd never be working with anyone doing that sort of event again. People scratched tags into that nice ass glass elevator, etc. So, and I say this with the utmost respect, try not to speak on things that you don't know about, it just makes everyone feel stupid in the end.

To be perfectly honest we're not going to be able to do a makeup party solely because we have ALL of our money tied into our next show which will be the most expensive (and hopefully most bad ass) production we have undertaken to date. As I'm sure many of you know the regency center is a very expensive venue to rent and without diving into any of our numbers I can tell you this place is about three times what we've ever paid for a venue regardless of whether it was in SF or LA. Please be patient and know that we are doing all we can to make this next party go off without a hitch as a dope show.

Guess I'll close this out by again thanking everyone who came out and had a great time and apologizing again to everyone who felt that it wasn't everything that they could've hoped for. All we can do at this point is work our hardest to make our next show the best that it can be.

Thanks again to all and stay connected.

-Tommy

Yeah its a real bummer, i am all about the motto "RESPECT WHERE YOU PARTY" and walking into the gift center I thought 2 things
A) this is one of the most bad ass venues i've ever been to
B) This venue is going to get torn apart by disrespectful people.

Most venues get torn apart, this is why most venues we party in are usually kinda run down, its not as big of a deal(still a big deal) when it happens. Its a real bummer, but unfortunately you cant expect everyone attending these parties to respect the place even though THEY SHOULD.

oh well, thanks for the night and i will be there totally supporting you guys at NPLH2 =)
