This member is the original thread starter. euro Woodstock Make-up Party?

I think Connected should do somethin for us, a free make-up party for those with a woodstock ticket...discount on their next party...somethin'...

There were no decorations, it way too crowded (should've been at the Lift venue), then it got shut down with some of us being there for 1 or 2 hours...I had some fun but it wasn't as long as I should've been. Cole and I paid 22$ and it was a waste to not get the whole rave time, awesome decorations, and dancing space...

I was disappointed, I was told awesome things about Woodstock, I was let down

Sorry Connected boys, we still all love you!

my vote goes for no.

Thas why you gotta show up EARLY for parties! The party started at 8 and went to 1 (an hour before its supposed to end). Thats a solid five hours of partying right there.

Yes i know, some of you have work and dont get off till 9, plus the drive over there, which leaves you mabye 2-3 hours of the party left (why would you still pay 20-30 bucks for two hours? think next time and understand that yes parties do get shut down. its a rave with local deejays gettin paid 20 bucks for gas money, not a concert.)

But still, I believe if a party goes over the halfway-point then a makeup party is not necessary.

IF ANYTHING, maybe a discount or drink tickets for the next party, "No Place Like Home 2" at the Regency on Nov. 10th! *plug*

KEEP YOUR TICKET STUBS.

ok, so heres my .02

The party being shut down was not at all connected's fault, therefor they do not owe anybody a makeup party, espessially since that party, for the time it lasted, had the best vibe i've seen in almost 2 years.

Also, the venue life 2 was held at, the galleria gift shop, is very very expensive, 8,000 for just the venue, then about 2,000 for the galleria security, that's just for the venue, and money doesn't grow on trees.

The party was a tad too packed, but not by much really, that's how a rave should be... packed.

As for the tickets being expensive, theres usually a reason for it. Like I said party throwing isn't cheap.

I do however agree about the decorations, i love tons of decorations.

Just some food for thought

I dont think a makeup party is necessary

Woodstock was probably one of the best parties ive been to since lift, in my opinion. Sure it got shut down, but that wasnt connected's fault, and the vibe it had before that was INCREDIBLE.

I like raves to be crowded, it keeps the energy up. When there is too much empty space, it seems vacant and i just think.. wow.. theres no one here. (aka suites) But woodstock wasnt that way at all. It had that underground feel and the people there were chill.

Connected did the best they could under the circumstances, so i dont think they should be responsible for having a makeup party

Without reading the entire thread.

Throw your own damn party. This one was crackin, its not their fault someone fucked it up for everyone, it was crowded but guess what its a rave. and also you cant just say "It should have been at this venue"

Makeup for what, a crackin party, good vibes and good music?

Edit: Not trying to be mean its just, they threw a damn good party and i've been hearing a lot of people complaining about it.

i feel hella bad for the folks that didn't get to hang out at Woodstock for very long, because it was soooooo much fun, and everyone was totally plur... yea, if i had to grade it i would give it a b/b+ before the shut down, but a c/c+ after the shut down... i was hella sad that it shut down though but it was fun while it lasted!

(shameless plug)
...oh yea, i took a bunch of pics (as always) they'll b up soon!!

Haha. I remember deciding on the grade with you after the party. Good times. Did you end up getting that souvenir?

Don't get me wrong, i want it to be packed, i love when its packed and everyones dancing..but ...i only saw a little circle up in the front dancing and everyone was just standing around or just swaying back n forth...you can't really get a vibe off of that.i dont know, maybe everyone was a little too fucked up to dance?

I would pay extra for a rave to be at the lift venue, its a good venue that wouldn't get shut down. I don't think I'd ever go to cellspace ever again just because its a huge buzz kill when it ends 2 hours early. the music stopped at midnight, maybe a littler later.. it was suppose to end at 4am. Someone said earlier it was suppose to end at 2am?? well that would be fucked up if they lied about it ending at 4am when they were really planning on it ending at 2am?

I was just really let down, I was told great things about the venue and Woodstock and none of my expectations were met..

I know it wasn't connecteds fault that it got shut down, but something better should have been planned with the smoking. Smoking was allowed in the back enclosed room when of course the smoke is going to come into the front room and eventually make the alarm go off.

And yes, I would throw my own party if I knew the djs personally, had the resources, money, etc... I'm sure EVERYONE would throw their own awesome raves if they could. In the future when I can, I'll be sure to do just that.

Sorry if I have offended or pissed off anyone, I'm just speaking my mind because I want to go to awesome raves!!

[ramble] sucks to hear about woodstock. I've been to cellspace a number of times... artshows, concerts, and raves.... and I've always loved it. Never seen stogies set off a fire alarms before though. Hopefully all event promoters will learn from this and go to kragen next time and buy a couple of those 5.99 clip on fans.

Or everyone could take the much-less-popular route and just not smoke as much. I know it's never gonna happen but y'all should keep in mind that its the most statistically dangerous drug you can use. oh yea BUZZKILL bitches.

hope you guys all had fun while it lasted tho. there will be other parties in the future, and theres always plenty of electronica to keep you groovin wherever you are. peace out gangsters.

[/end rambling post]

I agree with Caylee for the most part.. it was an alright party but my expectations wernt met 100%... maybe like 70 or 80%.

As for it going from 8 to 9, we got there at 8 on-the-dot and didnt get in and start dncing till like 30-40 miutes later. and we were right up i front in line.

Also, the whole $30 at the door thing was weird.. most of my group only brough $25. A make-up party probably isnt neccessary, but i know i definately wont be going to any more Connected events.
