I realize that this is the wrong forum but, I cannot resist.

I don't even think that alcohol and E are comparable, unless you're getting shitty DXM pills...Sure, both with alter you, but mdma is a euphoric, empathogenic, and entactogenic stimulant...alcohol is a depressant and literally, a mild poison. One floods your body with neurotransmitters, one slows down every process in your body until you either pass-out or die or both, in that order.

They are not even in the same category in my mind. Alcohol is related to Ecstacy in the same was as taking a shit is to having an orgasm.

Though I like to drink and gets a little faded, if I died and God was like, "ok you can experience one feeling for all of eternity", I would not choose drunk.

Hmm. They serve the same basic purpose. I had a friend lay a bomb on me once. We were chilling on his couch after a party, and he's all, "Well, that's why people take drugs, right? To fit in?"

True, but I wasn't speaking in the "danger to your health sense" just in the experience as a whole. They definately both have negative health consequences in excess.

But as a general statement, alcohol is much more lethal than MDMA. Alcohol has an LD50 of about 10 (ie, consuming ten times the amount of alcohol required to feel its effect killed 50% of people) whereas MDMA has an LD50 of 16 (meaning you'd have to eat roughly 2 grams of MDMA to kill yourself from the drug alone...that's 16 pills)

That means that a bottle and a half of wine can kill someone who is not a regular drinker...that's 6 glasses (at my house anyway). vs someone eating 16 pills. so...([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])...speaking generally, MDMA is safer than alcohol for the non-addicted casual user.

One of the first signs of poisoning is vomiting...which of these drugs do you associate vomiting with more?

Though both substances risks increase exponentially with re-dosing.

No...but I've never had that on alcohol either. Perhaps I have serotonin and dopamine to spare?

With either substance my general rule is stop while you're still having fun. Something that it took me a fair share of puking to figure out with alcohol and something that I have never had a problem with where MDMA is concerned.

I'm definitely on the Ecstasy side of this debate. I hate the act of drinking because it simply doesn't make me feel good. My tummy's sensitive I guess, haha. That's not to say I don't drink every once in a while. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
