is there a parking garage or a safe place to park around the event? if not is there a parking garage farther away you can take a taxi from?

its downtown oakland i'm sure you'll find a parking garage
the only issue is the time the garage closes, cost and distance

thank god i don't have a car...

the only down side was sitting on glass and having wind blowin in my hair...

Ok, so usually the cars get broken into from the passenger side. Also, usually in an alley. If you want to find a safe place, go on the LEFT side of a BUSY ONE WAY street and park there. I have never had, nor heard of anyone having a problem using this and if you have been in my car, you may have seen the cavity that was once my stereo because one night I didn't follow this rule.
