back in HS i would save week allowance for rave ticket. then save another weeks allowance for drinks and pills. my mom was pretty nice about giving me money when i needed. she felt bad cus she didnt get me a car til i was 18. now i work full time but got way more bills then ever. usually one pay check pays for ticket and one for the extra stuff. i worked OT for the last 2 weeks so i can have extra for the trip up to Norcal for POP. i work hard for my money. oh and i slang clothes and shoes on the side for extra money.

When I was in high school I worked a lot and had a bunch saved up so I could go every weekend. Now, I'm mainly too broke with food, rent, loans, debts, etc to even think about hitting up a 30 dollar party at the crackhouse...

But to the person who wanted a job that pays 10 or more, if you are in college...CAMPUS JOBS! They usually pay quite well, especially if you go to school in areas with higher minimum wages.

Anyway, to those of you still living at home...LIVE IT UP! Trust me, raving will definitely take the back seat to living expenses so you might as well enjoy it now.

I see you're the person who got boned for TTLG

I have a job.
And I have a little chunk of money saved up from my grandfather's will about a year back.
Plus I am a distributor for a major corporation.

Actually, I figured out the basic truth a while ago (SF Bay area location means oakland and permitted venue means the crackhouse). I definitely did not get myself screwed over at that party.

I work @ Slaveway as a Courtesy Clerk in Santa Cruz
I try not to let "party" money get in the way of more important things such as paying rent, credit card bills, phone bill, food, [marijuana] lol
I'm cheap.

1) my parents do give me money for school, but i try to spend that only on necessities. i feel bad spending their money on raving.

2) i work in archives at the library

3) when i go home i work in the IT department for a multinational financial company. speaking of, i was browsing through the socal forums one day and read a topic similar to this called what's your day job or something like that. i noticed a lot of people said IT. why is that?

4) at most, i'll go to a party twice a month. in between then i'm saving.
