This member is the original thread starter. Question Where do you get your money to rave?

Now, I have not been working this past year but have had several Gs saved up from before. So all my partying i see as my one year of just having fun and not worrying. I still have enough to split with a crew to throw an event...so i guess that says something? (This summer i'll be working 5 days a week and same for next school year)

I'm curious how a lot of you(mainly the minors here that i know party a ton) are getting all this money.

I feel like some of you are destined to end up broke and only gathering up some paper for parties and the plethora of drugs some of you are taking.

I say this because i find it quite odd that after Rick said hes cutting back from partying due to being broke, he is going down to EDC. A lot of you north bay people bitch about gas prices and spending all the money, but are driving all the way down as well.

Do your parents just bank roll your partying?

Don't take this the wrong way...i'm glad i get to party with you. i HOPE you have the money to do it.

It's just that at times it seems very irresponsible if you do not have a job and you spend money every single weekend. I also feel that some of you think its really easy to suddenly get a job over summer if you have not turned in applications yet.

Clue me in. maybe i'm just out of the loop. I just do not want more broke people entering the real world.

Learn how to be dependent on yourself and less on others please.

Just a PSA from me, a concerned dude.

I had money saved up from a summer paid internship...I am trying to get a job now though, again for summer, cause I'm getting pretty broke.

I was actually thinking about this today and wanted to make a thread....weird. Anyway, in addition to going to school, I've always had a part time job. Currently, I'm working at Go Kart Racer, which is a really cool job, but doesn't pay a whole lot. I'm currently looking for something that pays 10+/hour. Anybody have any suggestions?

I work as a graphic designer full time in SF and freelance on the side. The full time job pays pretty lame, just a little bit over the minimum for my monthly expenses (rent, food, bills, etc, not raves). But I can make some pretty good money doing freelance stuff, it's just not always easy to find jobs. The economy is suckin it right now.

Go kart racer is a blast.. any discounts for a fellow RL'er?! haha

Summer is here guys go get your Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications. Find a YMCA, country club, cabanna club, private pool, ect... I know nearly all of the YMCA's in the bay area pay 11-14 for lifeguards. I currently bring in 15.50 guarding at my YMCA but I've been there for four years and have had several raises haha.

Seriously though its a fun job.. just stay away from amusment parks, they pay shit and you do sooo much extra work.

I need to get a job this summer to finance my own entertainment. I usually get money from the parents, but I also don't rave as much as others do. It'd cost a ton more for me to rave all the time, thus I only spend their money on raving once in a while.

I work 4 am to 4 pm and make a bit of money because I do manual labor. Most of my money comes from that.

The rest of it is an unspeakable.

Yeah, I've been working since I was 14 as well, always in manual labor.

I'm in the union as a Millman / Welder, and am a Journeyman now. So it's pretty nice

Kinda hard for me to rave. I have no job and have been applying, but stopped for awhile when no calls were made for me. I should get back on that...

But anyways...I get my money by SAVING SAVING SAVING. Money from birthdays, X-mas, Chinese New Year, and other occasions. Then I pick out the raves that look most worthy of paying. Lights and clothes...same thing. My goodies are usually free though

I also ask my parents for money, but only for like water and stuff...which is usually like $10, but I hate to mooch for money...
I need a job...
