What is an E-tard?

An E-tard is a person who is NOT disabled, but who some would say act retarded while at dance events. They sometimes are on the drug ecstasy.

E-tards usually sit or lay on the floor at dance events (sometimes in the middle of the dance floor). They also “trip” each other out by moving lights around in each other’s faces. This is called a “light Show”. The person giving the light show is also considered to be an e-tard even though they might be sober. E-tards are usually oblivious to the fact that MOST people attending dance events do not enjoy seeing them all over the floor, tripping each other out.

Undercover cops usually like when people are acting etarded cause is saves them time when trying to make an arrest. 90% of the time an etard will be under the influence and they are easy to find in large crowds, all they have to do is look on the floor.

Actually, you are 100% wrong. Raves & dance events have been going on for well over a decade. People have used the drug ecstacy from the very start. It wasnt untill 99-2000 that etards started taking up dance floor space. Alot of oldskool ravers were driven out of the scene when acting etarded became an accepted thing. Also, the police started busting the parties. Hopefully people will get a clue and history will not repeat itself.

haha! i hate it when they take up dance floor space! especially when they are right in the middle! the least they could do is sit on the sides! it was annoying at EDC especially! I like the "get up and dance crew" that was there! fucking sweeping them all off the floor and forcing them to get up! they werent mean and rude about it though...they gave everyone lollipops! LOL...we need one of those crews here in the bay area!

but yeah i think an etard is someone who really just takes too much and becomes so fucked up and stupid...everyone has had their moments

Please don't make excuses for etards. I'm an active ectasy user and I have never layed or sat on the dance floor. It's very distructive to our scene and will be the death of it. I have seen it happen. Please people, wake the F**k Up!

youre not all mega-super-informed raver person.. youre an etard if you say im wrong for adding that the term is specifically coined today for overusers... it doesnt sound like "retarded" coincidentally. e-tarded = lack of brain functionality from your own personal choices. go get in a cuddle puddle and make some friends!!.... the whole sitting on the floor thing really aint that much of an epidemic here.. and even if there are those kids who come just because theyre interested in ecstacy, then keep coming cuz raves are spectacular... those kids are consistently funding promoters' budgets every weekend. so killing the scene? really? there are multiple parties every weekend... tough times, they be upon us! ...specification: people on drugs dont make the scene. their money does
