What goes into throwing a party?

Tessa, if you're really interested in joining a crew, or at least checking one out, you should hit up my crew/family while i'm away from my family: Evolution Entertainment (Lift 2, Pac-Man, Hard Candy, etc.). We're formulating plans for our next party which will most likely be in early '08. We can always use a person with a fresh perspective and a passion for the music/scene.

We all sacrifice our personal lives in order to make parties happen. You have to get a crew together than works well with the least amount of drama possible ( and there will always be crew drama), find venues, make flyers, find talent, network with other promoters, get DJ's under your crew, make decorations. get lighting together, promote promote promote!, keep up a myspace, and keep a cool head because things get stressful! I don't think that any one fully understands the ammount of work and heart needed to pull parties off until they are on a crew. Some times on high stress days you wonder why you are doing this, but once your party is over and you know you gave people a safe and awesome time you remember why you throw them!

I personally want to thank you from throwing cool parties.
