iknow its just alot of the time the stuff that gets downloaded from file sharing websites is bad.
plus im using my main comp.
if iwas using my failing laptop iwould take the risk.

It's an .mp3. You won't get a virus from a straight mp3.

Even limewire viruses are simply .wma's with a license coded in, downloading spyware onto your computer.

It's not very hard to code a Remote Administration Tool to bypass multiple AV's. Your best bet would be to upload any suspcious .exe's to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] / [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

They use about 20 AV's, all with the latest updates.

You can also open something in a sandbox, or load it in a VM to make sure. If you have knowledge in ASM, opening it in OllyDBG is also a safe bet.

In the end, AV's are easily bypassed if you code something yourself.. or just modify an existing RAT (hex editting, packing, coding in JMPs and encrypting in ollydbg.)
