poison oak isnt a disease, so no it isnt contageous. the oil is what makes a person itch, bu tonly if it gets into the skin. th eoil can get on clothing and be rubbed off onto skin, but that will normally result in a much more milder case then if you were to be frolicking naked through a poison oak forest.

i was thinking about that as i walked through the wilderness in the dark to that party...i don't really know what it looks like and i've never gotten it. a friend suggested that i might not be allergic to it? is it just an allergic reaction? i dunno. but i'm sure i'd be itchy by now if i had it...

I get poison oak really bad. I usually have to get roids to make it go away

i grew up in a mtn town with lots of poison oak. it sux but will go away soon. do not scratch it as that will only make it spread. the oil gets under your nails then spreads to wherever you touch. keep your fingers out of your eyes. run cold water on it, not warm bcouse warm water opens your pours. use calamine lotion, that stuf is soo soothing for poison oak/ivy.

i thought that was funny that you got all specific about how its "not contagious" when it can so easily spead, from skin to skin, to cloths.

i would brave a jungle of poison ivy for another sick ass renegade like that one !
