I was watching that last night. I was surprised they actually showed people's faces, and them using their bongs. Wouldn't that get a lot of people in trouble, including the news station?

I know the situation is obvious, but cops can't assume kids are smoking weed unless they see it, because you can smoke tobacco out of bongs and pipes, thats why they can't do much if you post a pic of you smoking outta something on your myspace and such.

It wasn't like the cops weren't doing anything at all. The news said they closed down an entrance to the campus completely and made check point out of the other entrance. Their goal was to keep students in and others out. That way, the smoking would be more controlled, I guess.

bongs can be considered drug paraphernalia, so if they do see one they can search you so long as it is visible.
And from my experiences cops are people too. so long as no one looks like they might cause trouble or causes trouble they are normally fine.
