so what i get from this is two parties in tiny venue, and the crowd from the other party were rude. 25 or 30 dollars at the door??? for a venue that always get shut down, too crowded, and to top it off they kept having their music stop.
can some one explain to me the legality of the ch because i think its kinda fucked up if you sell tickets that are that expensive to that place. Should it have been legal? production crew please explain this to me cause im pretty sure if the info line ever said a party was there id bust a U-turn and try and salvage the night... actualy id probbably go anyways but i think thats what you guys bank on. NEXT TIME JUST POSTPONE plus then i could have come this weekend ![]() |

It was my first time at the CH. Very cool venue, but yeah, overcrowdedness and rude metal-kids. Though like some others, I kinda understand why they were angry and whatnot. I don't think it's ever a good idea to take away someone's show just cause yours falls through. Just reschedule. It sucks, but I think I'd rather be at a few good raves in my lifetime instead of many many bad ones.
I got there around 9ish, met up with Phoenix, her friend Danielle, warriorking and Robert. I actually had the blessing of being there before it got supercrowded. Good ass trance music in the back, lots of cute raver kids and plenty of good vibes. Playing Alice in Wonderland on the TV screens was a nice touch, brought me back to childhood n shit . I actually enjoyed myself before it got bad, sober too.We ended up kickin in SF, pretty much everything Phoenix said. It kinda sucked, right when the cops showed up to kick everyone out I was just starting to come up. O well It was nice seeing some old faces. I'm completely satisfied with the fact that I met a whole bunch of new people which was what I wanted to do...Ramiro, Saundra, Darkener, Mystery, Klover, Andrew from stanford (nerd ravers!). Also saw Crash, Yorich, and Muffintop. I know I'm missing a whole bunch of others, but I'm really bad with names, even when I'm sober ![]() If you don't recognize me by now, I wear fingerscarves around my neck and sport the yellow 3D glasses from time to time. I don't really consider "800m" to be my raver name (I don't have one), just a screen name for this forum. I go by "Brian" to those I've met. Overall, it was a good ass night despite the break up. I'm glad I met some new people. Definitely want to get more into the scene and see what this is all really about ![]() Sausee: check your PM, I have a question. Thanks ![]() |

My review..
TTLG wasn't bad. It was sort of a letdown, but that had nothing to do with Tri-Atom. They never fail to deliver. I got to Skills to buy a door ticket.. but they were out. I called some people up, and luckily someone had an extra ticket so I could squeeze in. As I get inside, I wonder if it's the right place. What are all these metalheads doing here? (I love metal, dont' get me wrong. I just thought it was odd that they were there.) I later found out what happened with the venue. That sucks. Anyway, it was WAY too hot in there.. I couldn't dance really. Got too hot and sweaty all the time. There were a ton of rude people pushing and shoving, but I've gotten used to that at raves. Some people just don't give a damn. I always try to be nice and tap someone on the shoulder if I need to get past them, and simply point in the direction I need to go and say "Can I get by?" I know how much something as simple as being shoved can ruin someone's night. The music was pretty good.. What I heard of it. It kept cutting out, there were trainwrecks... fuckups.. but that's okay. That's what happens when you have someone spinning.. everyone fucks up. Still, there was a great energy and vibe brought on by the crowd. It sucks that the cops came, and that people didn't know how to shut up. The funny thing was, the people yelling 'SHUT THE FUCK UP' were making almost as much noise as the people mumbling to eachother. People just need to learn to lead by example and simply not talk. One person instructing others to keep quiet should be enough. This isn't kindergarten, people. After it got busted, I went outside and we started walking to my car. Then some metalhead gets all up in Teddy's face and starts yelling at her, saying she's the reason they dont have a show, etc etc and bitches her out. She was just like "oh, sorry.. i like metal too" and he was downright rude, yelling at her and shit. I was about to throw down, except for the fact that cops were there and I was holding some illegal goodies. I ended up losing my keys. Couldn't find em, and was bummed. Ended up leaving my car UNLOCKED (due to the fact I may have left the keys in there and just couldn't find them) in oakland, and got a ride to the afterparty, then home. Came back in the morning... car was still there, everything in it. Found the keys, drove home =] All in all... good party, just a little overcrowded. Vibes were good other than the pissed off metalheads, but that's fine, they had their show taken away. I would be angry too, but I sure as hell wouldn't be taking it out on the people who just go for the party. It's not our fault. Here's to another good (and hopefully bustless) Tri Atom party. |

hahaha. Only a raver kid. God I love you guys
![]() EPIC EDIT: Totally forgot to mention DENNIS, the I-locked-myself-out-of-the-car-and -I-need-help guy. He got someone back in their car, and then we all gave him kandi afterwards I think he was a bit enstranged by it at first, but then he gave us a "ravers rule!" before he drove off. Converting the older generation, one person at a time |

I was having a blast, just a bummer that it got shut down way early. Also that shit was way too crowded. Still though, that's tolerable...
Something that really was a bad peeve was the fake blood. I remember seeing some guy with blood under his arm and saying whats up. Then asking why he's bleeding. He didn't know what the fuck was up and he freaked out. Everyone around was just like get the fuck away with your blood. I refused to let him back the floor because it was too crowded to be covered in blood. Then we all find out it was fake... Where's the pics from turtle and paisley? |

the party was ok, i knew something weird had happened with the venue, so i wasn't expecting it to be as awesome as i thought. but it was still chill. saw lots of people i knew (but couldn't actually say hi to them cause moving was impossible, haha) and danced a bit. fun stuff.
and i brought my own toilet paper cause they never have any there. quite a great idea, in my opinion. and those metal heads needed to chill the fuck out. this one chick tried to trip me then gave me a dirty look when i looked back. like...i understand that you guys are bummed, but you don't have to be mean about it... but...yeah. a good nite over all. |
